FD if you fail on the rewarding part, multicrew will be another joke

If ppl joining other ships don't get rewarded enough, or there aren't activities that reward enough so it is viable, it will be just one more failed expansion.

You already get magic multiplying bounties and reduced rebuys on artificially buffed ships which can do several things that the exact same ships without multi-crew cannot do. Is that still somehow not enough?

And here I thought that multi-crew was about "fun with friends"...

- Extra pips while AFK for that ultimate god mode basking
- 360° turret view and missile locks
- Equally shared bounty payouts across all players
- Launch 2 player controlled fighters!
- Reduced rebuys

They're practically throwing it at you like a cheap desperate hooker [up]

I'll swap magic multiplying bounties for legitimate gameplay any day of the week.

As a matter of fact, take all of my bounties and give me an Engineer role. I'll be so happy I might even choke on my own tongue.

AFK pips is only a thing if you buy a second account and have it sit there AFK, which would quickly fall in under macro'ing/botting.

So 1 extra pip at risk of a shadow ban?

Seems worth it.

The extra pip and such is needed however for there to be a reason for someone to do multi-crew rather than bring separate ships in the first place.

The choice between forming a wing of separate ships or doing multi-crew should be a matter of playstyle preference and not "this way is better or worse". Thus ships that are being multi-crewed need to be boosted in some manner to make them as good as bringing two ships of the same type without multi-crew.
 
Always the same complains over and over after each patch. FD did a great job so far. Game is expanding in a good way. Why always be negative :(

Disagree. It smells like utter handwavium to make one ship the equal of two or three ships in a wing just because someone's holographic posterier is occupying a piece of cockpit furniture.

At least give us a minigame to play so we can pretend like the crew is doing a job to give the pilot extra performance. Lazy magical appearing/disapearing pips feels like insulting our intelligence and cheating us out of a gameplay opportunity all in one fell swoop.

And AFK pips is easily achieved just by having some friends in your ship AFKing for some tea and a netflix show.

Agreed. It almost seems like FD are afraid that multicrew would not be entertaining enough for players to actually want to use it. So they add nonsensical rewards to make it more attractive.
 
Needed to QFT! Since mission rewards will not shared, we have another detached feature, which will be only used occasionally like Powerplay ans CQC.

I would love to see Wing & Multi-Crew type missions where Wing Leader / Ship Captain takes a mission on behalf of everyone in the Wing / Multi-Crew so everyone shares the reward. It makes sense that this should happen at some point, and of course that the missions would have higher rewards but also higher risk (tougher targets, more likely to be scanned or attacked and so forth).

However... in the meantime the solution to the Missions in Multi-Crew is the same as they currently are for Wings.

Everyone goes to the same station and take the same missions (or mission types), e.g. massacre missions, bounty hunting missions and so forth and just stack those.

Hardly game breaking to not have Wing missions as part of the update. At least not in my opinion.

Yes, and then they can't use that fighter, or utilities, or turreted weapons. Brilliant!

Woah woah, are you implying selecting a target using your 360° camera and clicking until the turrets kill it - eventually - isn't going to be a whole new level of engaging gameplay? Are you saying allowing 3 players to gang up on NPCs which hardly offer a challenge to a single vanilla Vulture isn't super attractive and requires artificial rewards to draw players to this new feature?
So harsh man.
