Hey everybody, did I miss anything?
Sorry I missed these 22 pages in one day. This must be a very important subject. Alas I've been having fun playing Elite:Dangerous. In a certain mode I'm not even going to mention.
Because open, solo or mobius, the fanatics on ALL sides are beginning to get really, really tiresome to me.
However I wish you all the best in your future endeavors in this thread!

So, upon rewatching the video I can't help but notice the comments at 1:18. Is this whole thing really just SDC spitting the dummy after getting trounced by another PvP group? Because that's pretty hilarious.

It's a broken "God mode" mechanic. Needs fixing period

What kind of mic? You didn't go with the typical overdone (and in my opinon... trash) Blue Yeti did you? Once I get some spare cash I'm leaning towards getting an actual mic stand with a high quality mic and a pop filter, along with Sennheiser headphones (dat audio fidelity).

Call SDC salty if you want. They have a genuine point. People complain about SCBs being a reset button for fights already. Healing beams are exponentially more guilty of this and are downright OP. They nerfed station sheild recharge for the same reason. People would just quick charge and come back to the fight. And this is even more open to abuse.

While I certainly don't blame anyone for using healing beams, Nightshady's counters aren't really much of the sort.

My counter points to his four:

1. Killing the healer is usually easier said than done if it's fast or there are more than one.
2. Thermal shock is useless, and thermal cascade is iffy against agile vessels, because only the bigger cannons have a useful thermal cascade effect at this point.
3. Target lock breaker is great against turrets, but regeneration and concordant weapons don't require a target, just a wingmate.
4. Both sides using healing, while certainly possible, extends TTK from 'too long' to somewhere between "how much fuel can you carry?' and 'probably never'.

Pointing out that a game mechanic is legitimately broken isn't the same as being "salty," so try again. I could hardly make heads or tales out of the reddit article as a great deal of the comments have been removed and/or deleted. I could make out that Nightshady and the 13th Legion absolutely loves to bask in their healing beams...but once the broken healing mechanic is repaired I imagine the basking and self adulation will slow down to a dribble.

We all adapt to what works for the moment. Nothing wrong with this unless it's explicitly against the rules or very clearly an oversight, IMO.

Currently more annoying than it was in the past though, now that every time they break or unbreak something I have to run off and dump thirty rolls into reengieering things.

Picked up an Audio-Technica AT2020 USB. Must say I'm extremely happy with it!

Hi, I believe you have an issue with our moderation on the ED Reddit, and for whatever reason (drama) you have decided to complain in public as opposed to contacting us directly via modmail and/or reporting the rule-breaking content.

Which posts/comments to you feel our team haven't moderated to the rules' satisfaction? Please feel free to link them here to allow complete transparency of course.

Indeed, they aren't salty because they're pointing out a bad mechanic.

They're pointing out a bad mechanic because they're salty it was used against them. There wasn't any serious discussion of it on reddit until the 13th started to use healing in fights against SDC and struck a motherlode of salt in the process.

Riled them up enough for them to make that video and try to spin it in their favor.
