I also doesn't mention the stream which is LIVE now, the "4PM EST // 9PM GMT" on MAR 10th

no such thing before 4.0

Yeah, unfortunately, for the first time Sandy convinced me that space legs won't be next season.
The way Sandy said it, and considering that we are an update away from the end of the season, it wasn't "end of the year" away (aka 2.4/3.0), it was "not next season" away : (

Kind of a bummer because i was looking forward to walking around the ships and stations, but also because i don't understand all this effort on the commander without space legs in sight.

In addition i'm quite worried about what next season/expansion could be, because i see atmospheric landings technically quite away too... and also quite limited without space legs themselves.

I'm beginning to think that was right who thought that 3.0 will be a "thargoids" season/expansion. Let's just hope it won't feel like a "filler" season... and won't last two years like horizons (which i though would last two year because they were working on something very big for 3.0)...

The fact that it won't be next season doesn't mean that the actual work isn't a step toward that direction.

Well, he didn't say it explicitly. 2.3 could be 1 month away, 2.4 could be 3-4 months, which would mean 3.0 could be as far off as 6-7 months. Anything >6 months and >2 versions away is 'a long way off' IMO.

But yeah, it doesn't sound good. I still have a hunch we'll see a limited set of it relatively soon. Perhaps walking on the ships, but not on planets etc. I really don't think we'll get atmospheric planets any time soon, given the effort involved in modelling atmospheric effects, erosion patterns, flora, fauna. For me, surely that's getting towards the end game.

Perhaps we'll get lucky, and 3.0 will be improved existing, and interesting new game mechanics that are fun, and not layers of RNG, point and scan, time gates...

Z...

Nice. I'll be there Saturday, will try to see some of this. First time at PAX, so hopefully won't get lost.

The Frontier booth is to the right nearly at the very front, and next to Quake and Prey booths- Prey booth was a crowded mess. They have Planet Coaster and ED demo stations (no VR).

The FD team are super nice folks. The Ambassadors as well. The Frontier Meetup was really fun, I met quite a few YouTube streamers and the other players were fun to talk to as well. Food, drinks and face time with the FD team, both Planet Coaster and ED and community teams. But they are very disciplined about not commenting about anything "in the works" which is not already officially revealed. Drat, right?!

Interesting the teaser trailer showed what looked to me like tunnels in the planet. That would be new, never hinted before content. See if you can get Sandy to confirm that snippet!

Thank you for the Q&A livestream yesterday - great job Ed, making a landing under fire while surrounded by people talking and having to talk at the same time yourself!

And especially to Sandro - that was an epic marathon of questions answered - thank you so much... that was really, really appreciated. I hope you got some rest afterwards and your back is feeling better ;-;

Thread updated.

119 questions answered in 1.5 hours. I believe thats a new record!

Get well soon Sandro and I do hope you can spare time in a week or two to get through some of the remaining 124+!! :)
I can't speak for everyone but I really appreciated the honest answers and powering through so many questions even if you were not 100%. Hopefully it won't stop you enjoying the rest of PAX.

For everyones notice: With the exception of a handful of questions that have remained that has cleared all the "multicrew" and "holo-me" sections entirely as well as most of the "Other 2.3 additions".
The remaining sections are "General 2.3 questions + bugs & Balance" and "Non 2.3, content questions and Misc"

This, and then some!!

Just wanted to say thanks to Sandro (and Ed of course). Really enjoyed the 2nd stream. Amazed that so many questions were answered and very pleased that all 5 of mine were answered.

Was yesterday's PS4 gameplay on a standard PS4 or the Pro?

Are we likely to get any further official announcements from Pax on updates, release dates etc. ?

It seems the rest of the schedule is made up of Ed/Streamers

Correct, all community streams so unlikely for any new announcements. There is talk of another Q&A in the next week or two after PAX.
