What was the reason for not giving npc crew? Was it technical limitations, gameplay reasons, never in the plan or something else?
 
Can we have more multicrew types. The "Bounty Hunting" "Piracy" and "Mining" ones seem so limited. We need a "Free Roam" option as well where shooting non wanted targets accidentally more than once doesn't kick you from the ship.
 
Keep up the amazing work on 2.3 guys! The balance pass on the DBX is particularly appreciated, as well as locking the HOLO-me sliders to the cursor when it moves. First a suggestion, then some questions. As shields on the big three have become significantly nerfed for 2.3, bare hull will play a much larger role. How about reducing ship repair costs a bit? Most of us with big ships refuse to stay when our shields go down because our repairs are so expensive; what about a reduction to encourage us to stay out there longer?
Now for questions: Tell us, what is the purpose of the ship-mounted Data Link scanner? Where should we be suggesting future additions to the game, if we should be at all? Also, what is Frontier's general policy on lore/content reveals? Do you lot hold information back because a) The mystery adds to the excitement, b) You don't want to reveal something that's not ready, c) some mixture of the two or other philosophies?

In regards to the Colonia migration and all "our" new NPC factions in the Greater Colonia region.
Will the BGS and our integration with it ever evolve? It would be nice, if a CMDR decides to "work" for a faction, that their actions and the state of a faction also affect the CMDR positively and negatively.
As it stands now, the interest in keeping Colonia an active bubble is near non-existent as there are no real incentives to keep a CMDR around.
 
Question: What is next? What we can look for to the future? Like codnames for updates and so...

Question: For when you aim the Season 3? Is it like 2Q/3Q this year or later?
 
Question: will planet based camera limit be extended to 2500m rather 250m?

Question: Will there be an option to export/import holo-me settings to allow multiple characters to be saved?

Question: Will there be a post 2.3 mini beta, like 2.2.03 maybe involving Karma/Crime and punishment?

Question: Engineer Special effects, have you considered having these as dedicated engineer blueprints and eliminate random special effects?

Question: have you considered offering a combined Advanced and Detailed surface scanner unit, for a slightly greater cost of both units?

Question: will PS4 version have trophies?

Question: Will you need to be a PS Plus member to play Elite Dangerous?

Question: Will CMDR name in PS4 version be your gamertag?

Question: PS4 vanity purchase items, are these via Playstation store, or via Frontier web Store?

Added both, although it's unlikely they will talk about the future. They have learnt from NoMansSky not to promise content/timescales until they have it as good as ready to release.

Already answered: Jaiotu (Forums): Can I share/export my cmdr creations to share and/or save? Will creations be transferable from beta to live? No, solid suggestion though, look into it. No ETA, no promises.

Question: Without the ability to share missions, gain rep, use SRVs or even scan planets in supercruise - Multi-crew is pretty limited to combat and bounty sharing for credits only and really not much else. When will other abilities and gameplay be added to multi-crew for non-combat types?

Also, the latest "unknown" trailer clearly shows a multi-crew Cobra land and launch at least 1 x SRV, which is currently blocked in mult-crew. Does this mean Frontier are working towards changing this for multi-crew exploration/science/fossicking gameplay?
 
Will it be possible to get single colour paint-packs that apply to all vehicles? For example, I'm an Alliance commander, and I'd like to paint all of my ships in an official Alliance colour, but first of all there is no official Alliance colour available for all ships, and secondly I honestly don't feel like paying €6 for each of 30+ ships in the hopes that the colours match across all ships. However, if you were to release official Alliance paint packs, which covered all the ships, I'd be in there like streamers in a loop of shame.

Obviously it would make perfect sense to have similar packs for the Empire and Federation, and possibly even for each of the PowerPlay powers.

Question: Any timescale on when comets and accretion disks might appear in the game?

Question: Any news on the Orrery Map?

Question: David hinted at caves in the game during a recent stream when he said "Wouldn't that be nice.." Any comment?

Question: Any news on Tier 1 NPC's?

If so, a couple of others;-

1. Is there going to be 'Looking For Wing' functionality (similar to the Looking for ship) where you can wing up with people (BUT not take them to their location!).
2. CQC - Are there plans to improve this part of the game (i.e. Solo Games with bots or top up games with Bots, Tipan, CQC while on long trips, available from the docked station menu?)
3. Someway to track wanted players via the Galaxy Map?
4. Someway to issue a piracy challange to NPCs (trying to intimidate them to surrender and drop cargo).

Already answered in previous livestream. Depends on reception of multicrew and how many people use/request the features.

Re: the engine trail colours that I believe are due to be added as cosmetic store items, any chance of getting Reaver like dirty billowing plumes of smoke, preferably so mucky that 2 or 3 such ships could fill a coriolis with smoke?

They answered that in the PAX Q&A?
It was game play reasons. It was always envisioned that it was supposed to be a commander flying his ship in dangerous galaxy. If you were you able to put the NPC crew in the pilot seat while you are in the Gunnery chair, then that would turn the game from Elite, which works best in 1st person view, to something like Freelancer or Starfox, which works best in 3rd person view.

For the non-Multicrew, they wanted to retain that 1st person feel.
