Oh come on. Surely there is a significant portion of this community that don't know you have to buy-in to the Beta. I simple email-blast would help a lot.

Just before the beta dropped threads popped up about how to get the beta. So it would seem fdev thought, let's send out an email to everyone and that will solve the issue that people are asking to get in on the beta. Fdev can't win tbh

(but fair enough, i have my own moans which i am told equally are unimportant and I am being unrealistic by other people who are not interested)

however "beta tester" was a kickstarter reward. once KS ended some of the community ASKED if they could beta test for a small fee.
FD obliged and indeed would have been silly (imo) not to.
of course the other end of the stick is that once you ask for money for a beta tester then any actual beta testing you do for them is a bonus... they cant then demand or expect anything from you, unlike where if they gave out access to a select group for free on the condition that they tested a set amount.
its not possible, however IF i could surrender my horizons beta access to another player who promised to do a few hrs of actual beta testing for the good of the game - ie not just playing - i would do it in a hearbeat.
(just horizons however, i am not giving up my LTP beta access

Yeah I'm aware of the situation with the KS and all that. My comment wasn't directly directed at the beta but at the store as a whole.
