Damn... Those Argentinians really didn't want to play... One fantastic goal and then they just kept buying themselves some time. Bad luck for Di Maria, always sad to see such great players go. The Belgians could have won, but they didn't. Anyway, two rather dull games yesterday.

FIFA would not like that - they've planned it so that Argentina play Brasil in the final.
I'm going to stick my neck out and bet for Germany-Netherlands in the final. A repetition of the 1974 final. It's about time a European team win in South America...
As against France the Germans have the psychological advantage on the Dutch, but they don't have 'der Bomber' this time... Still it will be enough and Germany can celebrate their 4th World Cup title.
An acknowledgement also to the fact that the German league, the Bundesliga, is currently the best league in the World, imho.

I was lucky enough to see him play live once. It was a charity friendly between my local senior & junior team. As I recall, he was being given day release from prison to do it... a copper arrived with him in handcuffs, and then put him back into cuffs after the game.

It is easier for me who is French. When I read the word " Best ", I translate immediately by "Meilleur" (in french) ---- Pelé said that Best was the best player he has seen play.
