I'm one of those rare people who welcome the change to rank rewards. The fact that a new player could come in and within a short period of time be flying an Anaconda is really stupid in my opinion. They should have to learn how to fly first before they buckle up in a ship that can stand its ground for an extended period of time.

I believe the word you are looking for is excellence. But in case OP is cynical, excellentness fits perfectly.![]()

Indeed good sir, in this instance I was using improper England on purpose... not sure why.
Not being cynical at all, love this new update. Hope FD makes use of it for aliens and adds srv/fighter access to the helm in multi-crew and adds ability to delegate the helm access.
But it would be good if its limited to 'holo me' only. So the galaxy retains it sense of scale.
that is all
Excuse me for being so pedandic - the probability for a thread without rant/whine/cynism is small these days![]()
And yes, MC is a very fun addition to the game, it still needs some tweaking like cutting back on the crew competences and moar (sic!) huge turrets and maybe a dozen small tweaks more. But I´m sure FD will deliver.
The most important thing for me is that it´s in the game and working, I see it as just another building block in ED. And in the end, I believe, the whole expirience will be more than the sum of its parts.
I actually think rank scale rewards should apply to all in game activity, missions and such. I've worked hard have an FDL, ASP and FGS all engineered!
No need to be excused. I thought I'd buck the trend after reading a few moaners posts. The silent majority just get on with the good stuff as someone else said here.
Building block, yes. I think ED and David Braben, are being very very clever and realistic about this long term goal.
ooh...huge turrets, yes please! And exciting to see what comes in 2.4 and beyond...

At this point the only reason to actually use it is for the telepresence instant drop in and drop out when it would take too long to physically meet up.
YES! With game experience one can advance quickly to the ship they desire. I'm counting on that awaiting the PS4 release to start it all over again. As for new players they can watch many how-to videos on YouTube we kickstarters never had trying to figure it all out. That is totally OK with me as the more players loving the game, the more profits Frontier will make, and the more they can concentrate on improving the game versus meeting the fiscal profits for a given year to show to their investors expecting a return. There is a lot more going on than just, "I want Multi-Crew to work this way!" per a given play style....This whole "We don't want newbies in Anacondas" rhetoric is blowing things way out of proportion...
You're looking at minimum 50 hours of efficient bounty hunting in a fully fit and engineered endgame ship for that. For the average player who doesn't have a friend in an engineered Corvette that is willing to donate 50+ hours of their time, you're looking at 100 hours of bounty hunting (or more) to get a Corvette.
This is not correct. My mildly engineered conda earns 2m cr in about 25m while I'm watching the news and not paying attention. I do it every week to avoid the ancient game breaking Fedbug after cycle tick. Its stupid how fast it is.
Edit: by not paying attention, I mean I don't maneuvre or look at the screen or change pips. 4 pips to WEP, disintegrate enemy anything.
