URGENT help needed in QUINCE!!!

think i just met you ingame, was behind you when it happened. i was like "thats not where the search zone is" lol

nobody has any cargo there, its all sidewinders with data missions lol

dude yeah i was being interdicted so my ship off somewhere if you pardon my language

my fault i didnt realise i couldnt name and shame even tho naming and shaming should be aloud for pirates in my opinion. oh well hes in a python and there was an fdl

There should be a function in game to do this. Distress call to either everyone or friends only. Its gives your current location and you choose your issue - lack of fuel, under attack etc.

And when you're out mining or trading or whatnot and out of nowhere a call from some jokester goes out- "help help I'm being noobganked by CMDRs Oscar Gul and redVENGEANCE", you'd be totally cool with the occasional abuse inherent to the system and not cry on the forum with a fresh post about your 30 million rebuy?

As an example.

Ha, came to Quince to what's all the fuss - and ain't never done no planetary scans before either.

And it's a hoot.

Currently Quince is like a huge community easter egg hunt, Sidewinders swarming and SRV's bumping into each other. One CMDR scans and all get the mission done.

Cor lumme, stone the crows!

Not my fault you've never heard of the foundation, try reading Issac Asimov's The Foundation saga.

Just wait until the Mule arrives in your home system, and then you'll be sorry :p

OMG he's gonna psychically alter the course of human sociopolitical evolution by gaining the confidence of powerful groups in subtle ways! Look out!

I deny everything! All we're doing is writing a big book with 'stuff' in it. Great to hear Quince is a hive of activity but sadly I'd never make it back in time.

Everybody plays the game differently. There are those that feel cheap using anything higher than a cobra, don't use engineers and fly FA off. There is the opposite that goes min/max too. They are both valid IMO - this is a bit of a sandbox game. Personally I don't deliberately self destruct - that is where I draw the line - but I don't begrudge those that do. Personally I like to get the rank and money and then when I want the challenge buy a smaller ship to fly - I'm looking forward to getting a vulture for bounty hunting and engineering it as a little death machine.

The Mrs will never believe this-un! Chough chough, splutter!
It really is a hoot, isn't it? Each run is just different enough to keep the interest up, and I went from utterly inept gliding and landing skills, to casually plopping down right next to the outpost / building.
Although it was mission accomplished for me some time ago (my Cutter is shiiiny!), I'm thinking of heading back up for a last hurrah before the nerf, because it was fun.

This is an instance where griefing really is inconsequential; a loop from the station to the Data Links and self-destruct takes what - 5 minutes tops..? If you get destroyed, just do it again - every time you complete one, you have enough Sidewinder rebuys for the rest of your life or close to it.

OUR SIDEYS SHALL BLOT OUT THE SUN

Riiiight, you just keep telling yourself that friend; we all know who the true architect is (ever wondered why Earth's Moon is permit locked?) ;)

Lol. So I take that CZ or haz res or exploration honking is somehow more varied pastime. U gotta be kiddin, son.

Making hilarious amounts of credits is a hoot and better yet doing with nice commanders is even more so. Lighten up! ;)

after seeing this thread I went to the system to have a look cause you say you make 40 mill an hour, but visiting the different stations all I did see is that they all are begging for money, absolute every mission is donate 50.000-800.000 credits. How do you make money here? or did you guys break them and made them into space hobos?

At first you have to increase your reputation with the factions by donating money. You'll get all your donated money back (and then some) when they start shelling you with scanning missions.

Probably why I'm seeing a lot more high priced scan missions in Quince than Skimmer missions in Lyncis Sector MC-V B2-1. I'm only Competent in Combat, but 42% into Pioneer for Exploration. Didn't realize they were based off this. I was hoping to get Elite in Exploration, but decided to wait until 2.3 for the faster planetary scanners and such...

If you want to "take advantage" of things before 2.3 drops, look into long range passenger missions that collect data. You'll be Elite in exploration in a day. Hell, you could do it with site seeing passenger missions inside the bubble and do it in a day.
