We started executing Fuel Rats a while back and putting vids up.. The reaction was hysterical and rather bitter. Why, why would anyone do that? Such a senseless crime [haha]
The general attempt at psycho babble we've seen is amusing. Some people it seems just can't distinguish between real life and an imaginary game world. If only people were so outraged by crimes and other injustices in the real world..

This thread is not about that subject. This thread is about people shooting other people because they can, and they have no logical, game-related motive for doing so, such as bounties or just being wanted.
I don't psycho analyse anyone... I'm just pointing out that shooting someone because they were on a live stream is a ridiculous thing to do, and has no bearing on the game in any way. It's just an act by someone who is acting 'in the rules of the game' - and these rules clearly need to stop before more and more people are put off playing in open because of the reputation it richly deserves.
I'm not even going to bother to respond to the other replies, because that's baiting, and I really have better things to spend my time on

You should check out Cmdr Tony Curtis' youtube channel. Some of the vids he's done are comedy gold. I only wish the game was as entertaining.

Thats a lot of the problem I think.
As someone whos recieved numerous threats and out of game abuse I can attest to it.

I've tried that, to my knowledge, six times since I've been here. If you dont get a response, there isnt much point to an 'official complaints procedure', or any official procedure. For example, I was banned for using the two letter abbreviation for cow dung. Its being used all over the board by me and others on a daily basis, and I have no idea why you can suddenly get banned for it. I've asked if there is a list of 'banned words' so I can prevent it. Didnt get a response. Would still like one.

i'd say they key factors here are audience size and diversity, and na is far more niche than ed. that said, to be fair there's quite a bit of senseless ganking going on there too, it just doesn't spill as much to the forums.

From experience: Lack of scratching can also cause itchy nuts.
