THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

That should be an easy one for you folks!

Cheers,

Drew.

Easy? We're the people who missed "These routes combine in a complex cobweb, paths through the void" when it appeared in Galnet!

If you rearrange the letters on "Conformist Oboe XX" you get "XboxOneMicrosoft", so you are on to something I think. Could be Yuri Nakamura a contact for Xbox players maybe?

Where were you LAST April 8th when we needed you?

Have some Rep. I ran it though an anagram solver and the best I got was "Bronco Sex Foot Mix".

Do we have a clue as to how long this event will be active for? I'm only asking because it kicks off at 3 or 4am for me...

On the subject of Premonition and the CG on the 29th here is my opinion or musings

I think Drews book will start after the events of reclemation and will involve a dream or something similar regarding her future.

The middle of the book will include what she has been up to including all the events we know about and lots we don't ( politics, relationships, inner turmoil etc ).

There will be a large psychologicall tug of war throughout.

This will then culminate in the outcome of the 29th where Drew will have cleverly written different starts and ends depending on the outcome.

As far as the rift mystery is concerned there will be added clues and Salome will reveal things prior to the outcome of her Premonition ( that will be decided on the 29th )

This will still leave the rift mystery open but may or may not leave Salomes Influence on this open ( depending on the in game events )

Drew will however have a side character that will continue with the mystery in either event of the outcome.

Either way whatever happens on the 29th the rift will still be there to be solved and while we will get extra clues the 29th will be about Salomes story and not the rift. "

I admire your optimism.

I do hope the Rift part of it is revealed though even if it's "what you didn't notice the 0.01% difference between reported and recorded gravity in the Rift, tsk, tsk, tsk". It seems we're being hyped for a speech as revealing as Rachael Madow's Trump's tax return summary leaving us with a binary option the result being Fdev entering 55/45 or 45/55 server side making one gang of aliens slightly more mad at us than the other gang/faction.

If Drew reveals the solution to the Rift mystery in Premonition there'll be a horde descending on his house with torches and pitchforks - and I'll be right at the front.

And if he doesn't, there'll be a horde descending on his house with torches and pitchforks.

If it is solved what's the point of bases out there?
One would be enough but two?
250 lyrs from each other?

Why would he do so?? Unless he feels like having an Invincible Schmuck vs Peasants chapter in his next book :) Of course it is possible that we will find it in couple of weeks, then it may end up in the book but chances are slim in my opinion :)

I don't want the entire thing revealed in Premonition. I'd like a few clues in the New book though. Enough clues to make solving the mystery possible within a short period of time.

The problem with a puzzle is designing one that is compelling but neither too hard or too easy. The Rift is, apparently, one of the galaxy's more difficult riddles.

I certainly don't want to spend the next 7 years searching for this thing. I have a Raxxla to find.

The way I see it is:
If all the clues we need to find the answer are already in game, then don't give us any more clues.

'A Raxxla'? You mean the one I found isn't the ONLY one?

Time to move on, I know, but before doing that, I toook a video of a descending flight from a height of approx 4km, down to low level flight (and back) and you can see that it produces an decrease in gravity of 0.01g instead of an increase. It's likely to be a common occurence when flying in and out of valleys (below and above main surface level of the planet). Not sure if it only happens on HIP 21484 and if it's the only reason why but most likely not.

Thought I would arrange the terms in SUM(10,7,5,3) as follows:

Curiously it outlines an early Cobra model.

Its solvable as a uss 456,000 Ls out in a random direction, on a random system, somewhere near the rift, but the chances of finding are dillions to one, as the clues are as sparse as a outpost in the rift itself...
