It was unexplored in the Beta. In the live game, when I visited, it was explored already. I don't know if someone went and scanned it after watching Ant's video (CMDR Beefheart? I think ...).
Thinking ahead to the event, an endurance run from Witch Head to COL 70 could be a fun activity. Fuel depots around outer planets to prevent interdiction around suns. Escort pilots. Interdiction. Counter interdiction. Hell, we should set something like this up just for fun.

That post on Reddit is also 6 months old - LONG before anything regarding the Premonition event on 29.04.3303 was planned - I would consider that post unrelated to the event upcoming.
Welcome to Elite Dangerous approach to story-telling. Entire 5 people has the chance to speak with these "NPC" and the rest of us are just out of luck. There is a deep and extremely rewarding story in this game but it is reserved for the first person to find it, no one else. But to find it you must be an expert in cryptography, pattern analysis, must hold diplomas in greek mythology, history and have such hobbies as video/audio editing, googling and a big fat bank account so you dont have to worry about such trivial things as work while you (alone or in a wing of 4 people max because reasons) enjoy the neverending easter egg hunt that is Elite Dangerous story arc.
Understandable misgivings, I also hope FD will make this one... hmm....... work really well considering gameplay/storytelling. On the other hand ED is a simulation in any aspect, so simulating a life that one would have in the ED universe would come out like that - as in real life you also get no story "told" , you just experience it or not. But whether you participate or not also depends on your personal behaviour, for example, in real life a great event is announced, the place and time then in general you have the opportunity to go there - or stay away. I personally think that even if not interacting directly with Salomé, I will have more than enough chances to take part in the event itself.
As far as I can tell that whole Salome thing is strictly a PS4 thing, those of us who use PC are not invited. I'm also of the suspicion she has little to actually change the game in any serious way. It's just an Iron man rules pew-pew fest.
It was a great lost opportunity by ED. I hope I'm wrong in a big way as regards plotline and she's actually got something to say.

I remember her saying something about being careful who to trust and who to give data at the Halsey (that former president of the Federation, not sure if I spelled the name correctly) search for the architects CG. Since Halsey now works for the Alliance and Salomé works for the Alliance…

Where exactly is any of this nonsense coming from? It's not strictly a PS4 thing as the PS4 version hasn't even been released yet. All players from both PC and Xbox are being included. There have been multiple posts by and confirmations by both CoR & Drew to this effect...

Regarding my ropleplay perspective the binary proposition (dead or alive) was not enough. In order to get some clarifications about the opportunities offered to us during the event , I contacted the COR ( as directly involved in this part of the story ) and I was advised to post my role play proposition here .

Thank you for bringing this up here. Other roleplay groups and individuals have expressed a desire to influence the event by offering bounties to players who can capture Salome and negotiate a price for her to be taken to a secure location, for interrogation by those placing bounties.
With that in mind I spoke to Drew about this yesterday and he agrees that this is a valid tactic.
This is the statement issued by CoR on behalf of Drew :
"Some groups and individuals loyal to the empire, but also not wanting to see Salomé's secrets die with her, have expressed an interest to have Salomé be taken alive and interrogated.
Drew likes the idea : I like the idea of supporting the player's bounties. If she is forced to a stop at gunpoint and surrender I think that is a valid outcome.. - Drew.
So for this mechanism to work we have suggested that if Salomé is captured by hostile players (that means forcing her at gunpoint to stop), and they offer her a chance to surrender, she may be receptive to it.
Her acceptance of surrender obviously depends on her captors being open to negotiating a bounty with those groups or individuals who have placed them. Her captors may simply decide to kill her there and then and be done with it. But at least there is now a middle-ground option on the table that gives roleplayers an avenue to make an impact in the end game narrative."
The issuing of bounties and the technicalities behind paying them, and negotiations with anyone who captures Salomé - is down to those players and groups who are taking that stance.

I've just began to read Reclamation but if I remember correctly what I've read somewhere , she was striped from her rank by the former emperor ( but as I said I might be wrong cause I am not that far in the book). Not by another senator. Of course our unspoken question is : why Aisling , the would be humanitarian princess, is so prompted to raise a bounty on Salomé's head when she is neither the Emperor nor was the target of the assassination attempt on Prism . Is she trying to bury a secret in relationship with what happened during the Emperor's dawn issue ?

I would have to nip to the shops and get some more tin foil for a big hat to give you all the possibilities on that one.
I'll wait for the evidence though, and meanwhile trust no leader involved in powerplay until I have evidence that their goals are compatible to mine. But as I generally support independent democracies, cooperatives and communist states purporting to work for the good of the people that's not likely to happen with most.
You just picked up a fan, I thought I was the only one who did that. I've 100% on a fed ranking, and no intention of looking for the mission to take it further, same goes for Imp, as far as I can tell ED have taken the current crop of real life leaders and just cloned them into the game. I'm very tentatively on the Alliance side.
