Ugh. I said was worried it would be like Dark Souls 3 and their "Knight" debacle. In which names such as "Knight Artorias" would show up as "K***ht Artorias" yet the N word with Qs instead of Gs skips right by.

AFAIK special characters and symbols are disallowed in the ship name..... Er... just in case you try to get around the swear filter... or something.
That's exactly what's going to happen, we're all about to get schooled in alternate spellings for assorted ethnicities and body parts.
So presumably the filter removes all whitespace to check for swearing ie it would catch "A SS".
But does not display the whitespace included version on a swear match?
Or does the space ALWAYS get removed, even if no match?
You could always change it to "CNV EMBA55Y"?
