Actually, that story is maybe a month old, but yeah. The guy's name means Undertaker in German.
My favourite German word is "Ausfahrt".

Haven't read the entire thread, but IMO FD should absolutely keep censorship in place on the naming front. Too many silly, immature and frankly unrealistic names would otherwise be introduced. This thread is proof positive of that very fact!
Kind of true but when you cannot name your ship 'Embassy' and have it displayed then the filter is ridiculous.
How many ships do you see in the real world with obscene names? Zero? Well then why should it be any different with spaceships?
Says a guy who can (in games) murder innocent people, do drugs, alcohol, destroy property, attack and kill police and military staff on a whim but can't see a female nipple. Because nipples are bad. Here in America

On topic - there's nothing more infuriating than arbitrary decision about something. Add political correctness and things turn hilarious. I can smuggle drugs (ILLEGAL!!!). I can traffic slaves (ILLEGAL!!!). I can hunt and kill innocent CMDRs (ILLEGAL!!!) and steal their cargo (double ILLEGAL!!!).
But I can't do it in a ship named "Moby " as second part of the name ... I don't have to explain it to you, do I? Stop treating us as 5 yo's. I am mature, have family on my own and if I want to see offensive ship name I should be able to. #demandcensorswitch.

That has nothing to do with "political correctness", but with money.
If you want to sell your game in germany, you can't display the swastika.
It's illegal, and will get the game blacklisted, as simple as that.
I can't even name a certain town in Austria because that would get me a strike on the forum.
Also I can just go and invent swear words like "Hurplafet" and exclaim it in that way, and for some weird reason that's okay. Just like when Battlestar Galactica used "frack".
Swear filters are fracking stupid, and whoever thinks that nameplates need to be censored is a Hurplafet, and should join the pen club. I'm Pen 14 btw.
Ummm, why?
Here in America, we beat PEGI with baseball bats.
Down with censorship.
Down with whining parental groups who shouldn't or often do not, have children in the first place minding everyone else's business but their own.
Down with whining in general. Grow a pair and act like a human being.
Should always have an option to disable censoring.
Yeah, and I get it, honestly, because frankly, with me at least, my eyes feel physically damaged from the amount of eye-rolling I do with the way people name things in other games.
Be creative! nope......definitely not creativity people want to show off, its whatever makes them snicker.
And personally I can only see it so many times, (and yes I will gladly chuckle initially) but after so many online games and so many repeats it leads to eye strain from eye rolling. So I at last, get it.
This
I'm glad censorship is on to prevent seeing people with their "hilarious" ship names
Shock humour is boring humour
A lot of gamers seem to think that its ok to be in games, thats why we cant have nice things like uncensored ship names
