Ok is it just me or are the servers the worst they've ever been today?

Yeah, terrible. Many disconnents. Disconnects during H-Jump (about once in every 5), disconnects jumping to supercruise (about once in every 10), unable to get mission updated mission list from server (about 60% of attempts) and unausually long H-Jumps (100% of jumps).

Edit: on the plus side, dropping from orbital cruise at planetary stations is faster then normal.

So we pay money to them (some ahead of time) for this unacceptable service? We pay cash and can`t ruddy run the program?

FD better have an answer for this and some compensation if this continues.

Had to task kill client after sitting in hyperspace for 10 minutes. Been booted for losing connection to matchmaking, transaction, adjucation, and god knows what else servers. Mission boards have failed to load, loading time for menus up...

Funny, 2.3 fixed a long term issue I had of the "pause" menu taking 30 seconds to load, now is instant, but this is real bad tonight.

I always presumed that FD chose AWS to host the servers so that they could spin up new ones as needed to cope with demand... I guess that was wishful thinking on my part (or they have broken something...).

You need to be careful with those sort of problems.

The game seems to keep updating your position even when you're waiting for something to happen and, as a result, when you log back in you can find yourself in a position where you "would have been" if you'd carried on flying in a straight line for 10 minutes... such as inside a planet or sun. [where is it]

Spawned at my expected destination thankfully, but another time out would have beached me for fuel.

More and more people seem to be moving toward not paying for future content because of their dissatisfaction, so that's what. Easter break means many have time off, want to play, and find that they are wasting their time because they can't do jack without the server booting them off through zero fault of their own. That, coupled with many other discontent factors mean that some people just stop giving a damn and what that entails is lessened support for what lies beyond 2.4. I don't think any of us are expecting a 10m cr "sorry" for a bad server night but it won't change the fact that this just adds to people who may be a bit unhappy recently.

Issues since release of 2.3

This release should never have seen the light of day. End of.

And what makes it worse is the complete lack of response from Frontier Developments.

Exactly who should I call away from their holiday ?

Actually, you would expect FD to have someone on call for this kind of stuff. I am on call for this kind of stuff 24 hours a day... Servers couldn't care less whether it is Easter or not.

Maybe I should rephrase... I would expect FD to have someone on call and for there to be 24 hour monitoring of the game environment. :)

Until today 2.3 has been working perfectly for me. I doubt the server issues are related to 2.3 specifically and more likely something infrastructure based.

I would too - but unfortunately I don't have their number :)

Yeah same here, no particular issue since 2.3, just today's servers being touchy.
