THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

The Fates/Parcae are in no way 'Women of vengeance infernal' or 'Die rasenden Rachegöttinnen Roms'. Even then, as pointed out above (sigh), it is more probable that we are looking for a (transliterated) Greek or Latin word given that all confirmed answers are either (transliterated) Greek or Latin (and not English - 'Fates' is an English word).

My science officer, Freya, and I have been working on it again. We have these to offer:

3 Fourth minor bear in vain - Calliso, Sol
8 Suckling Odysseus from afar - Athena System
9 Mother of the mother of - Gaia or Anesidora
19 Women of vengeance infernal - Erinyes
22 If you would understand it all, seek Fibonacci’s Zephyrum - Zephyrum is the accusative singular of Zephyrus, from the Ancient Greek for the West Wind

If it says so:

That mother of Odysseus was Neaera

But this I do not understand...

But it's the 'mother of the mother' of Odysseus (who is called Amphithea which can be found in the Prism system > very probable that this is the right answer).

Regarding 'δ Ursae Minoris, der Osmanen Polarstern': this means we are looking for the Turkish name for Delta Ursae Minoris which, as Protoenchen and others have pointed out, is Yildun.

8 has already been confirmed as Eurycleia, 9 is perhaps Amphithea because it seems the English version of the riddle is incomplete (the German version gives "Mother of the mother of Odysseus" = Amphithea, found in the Prism system).
Regarding 19 = Erinyes: Drew did not confirm this when it was mentioned in a list of answers although he did confirm other answers in the same list. Plus, it is likely that we are looking for Roman goddesses (see above).

Edit: Oh, and regarding 22: others have pointed out plausibly in this and the Canonn thread that Zephyrum refers to zero.

Edit 2: As some of you are probably glad to hear, I am signing off now (it's way too late for me) - sorry to have posted so much but I tried to correct mistakes/already discussed things as soon as possible to get nearer to the truth more quickly. Good luck, CMDRs!

Sorry, but in the previous page you stated that we probably need Roman or Latin.
Very confusing

Delta Ursae Minoris aka Yildun is an ingame system
Okay, I understand you.

But as I understand, we do not need the mother of Odysseus, but the mother of the mother, right? The mother of the Odyssey is Amphithea. The mother of the Amphithea - Neaera ...

If that, forgive some spelling mistakes in my text, English is not my native language. And also, I can not understand everything, that here you write, but at least I try to understand.

This kind of stuff understandably happens when a big clue is released. Threads get so hectic, makes it hard to progress when you are constantly repeating yourself haha :)

Here is a list for anyone who wants to copy and keep for themselves, confirmed correct answers have x's. I implore anyone who sees this post to save a copy, read it and add your ideas to it :)

Is the idea that we will be able to create some kind of spiral from the clues that will end up with a location at the centre?

19- Could be Moira

(You probably mean Moirai.) This has been suggested several times above. However, the Moirai are in no way 'Women of vengeance infernal' or 'Die rasenden Rachegöttinnen Roms'.

No, the mother of Odysseus is Anticlea (no. 14, by the way), and her mother is Amphithea.

Edit: Yeah, I know, I said I would go to bed now...

Edit 2: As Satrycus has pointed out above (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/324796-THE-FORMIDINE-RIFT-MYSTERY-(Part-4)?p=5392851&viewfull=1#post5392851), there is still some chance that in the German version of the riddle, the line regarding the 'Mother of the mother of' (no. 9) has been conflated with the later line 'Mother of Ulysses' (no. 14). Still, 'Mother of the mother of' does sound as if it is incomplete.

No, the mother of Odysseus was Anticlea. The mother of Anticlea was Amphithea. So the mother of the mother of Odysseus is Amphithea.

Not sure if this is correct but Odysseys mother was Anticlea and her mother was married to Autolycus which google says is Amphithea.

Yes, I'm getting my Fates and Furies muddled up :( ... also trying Greek, Roman and English as well as trying too hard to get the damn names in game!
Apologies... I'm tired.
