Still having trouble on my end. I get in just fine, but stored/sold modules aren't registering properly.
Sound simular to what's going on with my fighter bay...

We believe Dav has managed to identify and fix the server issues. There are still some additional tweaks that will be done over the coming days but the performance should now be significantly improved. Well, it's great that Dav has possibly "fixed" some of the issues temporarily, but it's going to be hard to tell, isn't it? After all, today was a holiday Sunday, and we're hardly going to see the same loadings during the week. Next weekend would be the earliest we could tell, and tbh I have my doubts.
There have been server issues related to load on & off for months, it just seems to get worse with new content, but even at its "best" the servers still aren't exactly great.
Maybe one day the contract with Amazon will expire, FD will finally give up on using this nonsense, and then re-contract properly with a proper fit for purpose game server hosting company instead!
It's only because there's still no "real" market competition in the ED sector (EvE excluded obviously) that you guys get away with using such shoddy servers. If there were another 1 or 2 released space sims of an equal standing around, the server performance over the last year would have meant that you would have been forced into addressing this whole Amazon issue.
Sorry, it may be controversial, but plenty of other people have mentioned the bad hosting many times in these forums. I only just recently updated the game after a couple of months break to see if things had improved at all, and the main thing in the last 3 days that will probably send me back to shelving ED is the server performance. Over the weekend I've not been able to play for longer than 2 hours straight without a DC, and that's not mentioning all the time wasted waiting for jumps to complete. In any other "mmo" with more competition that kind of server performance would bankrupt it. The fact that it's been going on for well over 18 months that I've experienced only makes it all the more damning.
You may well have a vocal minority in here only to willing to jump on the oblivious fanboi feedback bandwagon, but FD please do not lose sight of the fact that most players simply just stop playing, and do it silently. When the servers I suspect force me to give up on playing again in a week or so's time, I will probably again just simply do it, not make a long winded post about it. That, unfortunately, means yet another opportunity to re-attract former keen players sipping away silently due to something as basic as constant, annoying server errors (which imho are way more destructive than lack of content).
I only post this, and other negative posts, because I really DO want this game to be the game I can play all week, every week. It has the potential to do that, but it seems that there are so many relatively stupid things preventing that being the case. Bad Servers, Half done content, half done missions system. All these things, tragically, are a lot simpler to fix than to come up with yet more half done new content.

Dropped 1 time today when FD dropped the servers for a repair, middle of nowhere US. I still say it's the internet providers in the UK using telegraph lines is the problem.
