THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

Just got to Prism and flew within 1000ls of all the bodies out by Hiram's Anchorage. Only thing new (I think) is a tourist beacon "Kahina Loren Found Guilty". I don't recall that being there before 2.3. There was nothing in the beacon message other than what has previously been posted in Galnet. Docked at Hiram's Anchorage and checked the local news...nothing of note. No curious missions either.
Yes, I think that is new. I visited the 'Battle of Chione' beacon during the Tantalum CG and have been in the habit of taking screenshots of tourist beacon text (as well as not deleting them from the in-game mailbox) and I see no record of my having visited the one you describe. I would be surprised (and disappointed with myself) if I missed it. Good find!

But you get the gist. Got to be up for work at 3am. You can try doing it with 11 as t(0) and 11 as t(1) then 22 and so on and so forth. But... Don't think that's allowed. Forgotten...

Something strange here or just a bug... Could we think that the suite of Fibonacci serie is lookslike a Spirograph? So i went to Spirograph scetor and i went to the system BD-12 1172. The allegeance in the galaxy map is NOTHING but when you look in the system map the allegeance is INDEPENDANTS , do you have the same thing?

Thats wierd, I have been there previously and can see the system and you are totally right, I compared with local systems and it's not the same.
I'm 2kly away coming back from ao cassiopeia, tempted to fly by..

What if fibonacci sequence is used to narrow down the number of "Lines" (a final word...) to just the useful ones? that would leave us with lines

1 - Styx
2 - Rhea
3 - Yldun
5 - Rhamnousia
8 - Eurycleia
13 - Iapetus

Oh good not a bug , so i ll be back there tomorrow , actually at Orion Tourist Centre ...

Oh my , just a few days out of the thread and you made ridiculous and huge improvments. Had tons of post to read to catch the tide.

So it seems we have all the second riddle parts identified but we don't know what to do with them...

I see a lot of math theories to explain the Fi(0) T-xxxx and so on . Thanks for the work guys , but is that me or had Drew said that no math knowledges are required ? I mean , by the way you work on that , I am off the train for good , you know your part in maths . Isn't that a bit too much according to what Drew said ?

Shouldn't we stick to some concrete references ? I like the Lave idea for the video riddle and the merope idea for the poem part ( fibonacci --> natural golden figure --> flowers ships and half organic structures ( aka barnacles) . However I have to admit there is no real part for the path of souls and phaeton's reach in that.

However , I really wonder one thing : if all of this is to understand the path Salomé is going to follow in order to unveil the Truth , why bother at finding both coordinates when only the end is enough ? I mean , wether you want to help or destroy her , a gathering at the end should be good to put a blockade or a defensive position.....

phaetons reach i think refers to possibly phaeton being son of clymenus by oceanid MEROPE

or chariots end

Don't know?
Coordinates perhaps?

Well whatever it is, 1984 is too big a coincidence for you not to have nailed it. Well done! Maybe 1984 and SUM (10,7,5,3) need to be used together as arguments for F-I(0)? 1984 + 25 brings us to 2009 which is not that far off Elite Dangerous launch, although I can't find any historical event in the games development from then.

Anyway, out of random curiosity I looked up the 25th number in the vanilla Fibonacci sequence (f24) and it's 46368. It turns out there's a HIP46368, and it has one interesting feature: It's a completely isolated class F star, about 2,700 light years above the galactic plane. Nothing is even remotely near it. We won't be going there without some unconventional assistance.

After returning the 3rd time to the base in Heart today, i realised how big that sector is. How are you supposed to find something out of random here? Oh well, have some hours the next days left, before i have to head back home for the event.

But when i can find a sys with 2 AWs and 2 WWs just 5 jumps out of Farsight, what else did we miss here?

Because I would imagine having a different order would result in a different answer...

e.g. If we do a Fibonacci calculation on the digits as they stand and just look at the first sequence we would get...

10+7 = 17
7+5 = 12
5+3= 8

So if we need these as co-ordinates then the order matters... ;-)

All previous clues lead to this point. This summary clue should highlight them and identify previous gaps.

Cheers,

Drew.

Should we be comparing the answers here to galnet posts instead of ingame locations, to fill in the gaps of what we missed?

I found HD 240060, in game. No 240064. Might be in with a different identifier, but I doubt it.

What about the Sum part referring to the numbers in the fibonacci sequence (assiming starting at 0)
10th=> 34
7th=> 8
5th=> 3
3rd=> 1

Forget adding, what about just concatanating: There is an HIP 34831 in game ...

'Ylidun' and 'Zero'
These are the odd ones out.
All the others are Greek mythology.

Did you know there are 24 letters in the Greek alphabet?

This means that there are only 24 possible letters which can be used for Greek names.
So if you're trying to use the names to send a coded message, you'd be short a couple of letters (Y and Z) and would need to 'import' them from somewhere.

Anyone got a handy decryption tool?

Using a simple skip gives:

SYREADIA JFZ
REBECCA ECX

(Couldn't find the quote from the Commander who suggested the sector below EOFOTS looking familiar. It does.)
