THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

No probs, thanks for that. I'll keep my eyes peeled for further info, and probably give the interview a listen when time permits.

Sorry my comment sounded harsh. I did it in 45 minute blocks and it really is insightful and just to have drews opinions and obviously the up and coming event, was really interesting.

Lol, i have the build ready here that you need.. the recommended build straight from the Discord group that are willing to defend Salomé...

But first off you need to swear to protect her so she can to tell her story :D

Lol i'm part of Discord and i used their iCourier build as an inspiration for mine, but i wasn't too impressed with theirs - sure, it can go 720 with boost, but it's useless for anything else! I can go 660, which is still not bad, but i can fight, carry cargo (including sensitive cargo), heal, hunt alien wakes and be super tanky in the process. I like doing stuff while doing stuff like running away.

But as on Discord, i promise not to hurt Salome. No guarantee for others, but i solemnly promise on all i hold dear not to fire a single shot at Salome. That's a solid promise.

Drew: "We advise participants to be prepared for combat."
Premonition Allied Coordination: "don't bring guns."

sigh

That's actually quite a brilliant strategy. I'm not a fighter myself, so won't stand a chance against a fully rigged PvP ship, but shutting them down with interdictions is just as good, and non-PvP players can pull it off, hopefully.

So tool a courier/viper out with an interictor and boost it's speed to ludicrous levels to get away after interdicting them?

Also while I did poke around for an answer, what was the minimum jump range to get to the Zurara?

1. Yes, except general advice is to go for iEagle/iCourier rather than Viper.

2. To get to Zurara, I had to make a slight detour with a 43 ly Conda. If you go through the Nebulas rather than direct, you shouldn't have a problem. Nebulas also have asteroid supply base which is nice.

Think I may use my Vulture, just for the hell of it. PvE build as well, as I have no time to mod PvP weapons for it in time.

I agree. I'm taking a very similar approach myself, starting with one of the suggested courier builds but sacrificing some speed for more shields and some firepower.

However unlikely it may be, I don't want to find myself in a situation where I can make a difference, oh but wait I can't actually fight.

I have a very bad feeling about this...

I think we won't be fighting each other, rather it will be all humanity vs them.

Yep the prem server is just a cluster of messes right now. it says "Coordination" but its just people boasting how there PVP fit is better than yours and if you dont listen you will die and they will laugh at you.

Depends on your route, play around with the route planner in EDD & remember "waypoint" in the plan means you need to find one as there's no star in that position in EDSM & more likely you need to replan around that gap. Rebecca supposedly managed it with a 27ly Cobra 3; I'm on my way back in my 40.2ly AspX & it was a bit sticky on a couple of occasions, particularly in the red area marked "very sparse" on the EDD Formidine map. Take plenty of jumponium!

Build by Cmdr Kyokushin, I tried to get there but those stats require enourmous amount of RNG rolls, I gave up with less speedy one :) https://eddp.co/u/tSVZh5MC

A big single digit salute to the person that thought RNG was a good idea for the final stage of engineering, more so the fact that the variation is so huge.

Back on track - 780 boost? Kariest...

It may be fast, but if I land a hit, it's dead.

What do "we" get if the conspiracy is revealed?

The question for me is what is covered up and how would revealing the truth affect the galaxy. Truth can be very dangerous. It could affect a lot of people in a very negative way - people not involved in the conspiracy. Normal people, simply trying live their lives.

From "Reclamation" I get the impression that Salomé is willing to risk the lives of thousands just to get what she thinks is her right or what she considers justice.
I simply don't trust her to make a decision for more than herself - and even those decisions often where really bad. And now I should trust her that the truth she wants to reveal is not going to negatively affect innocents?

If what ever is covered up turns out to result in war, death of millions and chaos - is it worth to uncover it? Just because some "bad" people covered it up?
I think in that case Salomé should get stopped from revealing the truth - and I would prefer an outcome where nobody dies.

If what ever is covered up turns out to be something that has been done for personal profit of a few. What would uncovering that truth change in a galaxy where injustice is the norm? It wouldn't suddenly turn the galaxy into a better place.
Revenge for a few thousand deaths? In a galaxy where slavery is standard, where even slight transgressions of the law result in death penalties?

Now, the bad thing is the conspiracy could result in something really bad happening and uncovering could prevent that from happening.
We just don't know.

That's my problem. I don't trust Salomé to make the right decision. I don't know if uncovering the conspiracy will result in something good or bad. I don't even know if that conspiracy is worth spending more than a few minutes to think about.

RP wise , this is exactly what my character's House has stated . And thus the decision to take her alive back in the Empire to retrieve intelligence and weight what she knows. And also to figure out what depth and means have her connections and supports.
