I just read this entry on the GalNet. It's really badly written, not painting a very true picture at all. On purpose?

Ahhh yes, Tira Flirble!
I'm trying to remember which system has the awesomely named station "Glenn's House of Lambada".
I remember it's somewhere close to Persephone (where my fleet lives).

Totally didn't use google.. honest![]()
Seen this in the in game GalNet last night... very simplified compared to other's i have seen related to the Rift.
I don't get why people want to kill her. She wants to give some information, that's it. She don't plans to bomb earth or something so why does she have to be stopped at all cost? The only reason, from an RP perspective, is that you are an imperial lacky which thinks the emperor is always right. Do you think the emperor wants her to be shoot on sight because she has only stupid lies to tell? Sure, she made some bad calls in Reclamation but this was years ago and she was basically a spoiled child which was thrown into chaos. Since then a couple of years have passed and if Drew still paints her like this I would stop reading his books because this would be very bad writing. She must have developed in the meantime. I don't think she will do the same mistakes again and Drew mentioned a couple of times that she regret what she did in the Prism system and that this changed her as a person. I also think this is the reason why she not just told everybody what she knows because she knew that would lead to chaos and maybe the death of many people so she took her time and gathered information in order to reveal the truth in a way which is best for the galaxy.
I'm not a fan of her either, I just think that her mistakes from the past and her plan to reveal something is not a reason to try to kill her. I would like to hear what it is what makes the empire so afraid of her...
The main reasons I suspect are:-
1) Things aren't very consequential in the game.
2) Pew pew!
Imagine if your actions on the 29th could result in you becoming a permanent enemy to the Empire... Imagine how that might alter some in game actions?
I menioned it last night but it appears to have been missed, but I was dissapointed that this is the only thing we've heard about either Gen Ship OR the Zurara. Makes it seem like they're all inconsequential footnotes when they couldn't be further from it.
Alas this 3rd party app strike seems like a good time to go and see the Zurara, might as well since everything else will be a slog without them.
Perhaps it's being doctored by whoever controls GalNet in-game? Trying to obscure its significance?

Is there anything i'm still missing that could fit on iCourier and be useful?
Do it, FDev absolutely nailed the sound design once again. Get close to the Zurara and listen closely.. sent chills down my spine knowing how far away i was from civilized space and how everybody inside is just dead. Very eerie place.
Yeah ... well I'm sticking to Cassiopeia A. It's gotta be out there. Right?
If Salome gets killed it will be the worst day of my gaming life since I saw what I thought was Captain Price breathe his last on that bloody bridge.

I've been thinking, with the knowledge that they seeded HMC's for terraforming, and planted beacons around habitable worlds, Maybe there are, say, half a dozen planets along the Zurara's flight path that don't say "Candidate for Terraforming" but actually "This planet is currently being terraformed", like some do in the bubble currently.
I would imagine it would only be a number countable on your hands, but if we have a flight path of the Zurara handy, even remotely with estimate jump ranges, it may be an idea to retrace its steps somewhat, and just verify whether we see them or not. I find it quite likely that someone will have scanned a planet that could have said "being terraformed" and their brain only registered it as TFC, if they even checked for it at all. Of course, I could be wasting my time as well, but I'll give it a thought and see what I can come up with once I reach the asteroid bases in H+S

Hah! If you want to abandon the Salome' thing and storm Galnet instead, count me IN. [yesnod]
It's a player submitted article. FD edits them before publishing, to make them short and to avoid 'spoilerish' content.

Now that I'm out here I was thinking of searching for these beacons. From the looks of things, the Zurara is right along the RR line. The question is did they go any further out than their current position, or should the search just focus back toward the bubble? It happens to be orbiting a terraformable world, but no beacons. Back when we found the Rift outposts a number of us also started searching EAFOTS for ELW's in a 200LY radius from the outposts, but now I'm wondering if that should really have been 200LY around the Zurara. It is several thousand LY's beyond the outposts along the RR line. Anyway, I'll poke around and see if I find anything.
