THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

Oh, Karma is a female dog …

What an entertaining evening in the galaxy.

Now, since the Loren family is wiped out. What happens to the Prism system? I heard that there are some legal problems…

Sadly nothing since it didn't really have much to do with her in the first place. That was one of the first jarring, ED the game and Reclamation the book are in different universes, issues. If it wasn't for Loren's Legions there wouldn't even be any indication Kahina had anything to do with Prism. So not much to fix, though I do feel bad for the Legion folks.

For me that was much better than expected, I had no single crash (with so many commanders it is impressive). We escorted Raan on last few jumps, when stopped at the tourist beacon he gave us this message, so prepare for code cracking :) actually he led us to listening posts, not sure if there is more.

From:CMDR RAAN CORSEN, Msg:Ok commanders, I have a piece of information with me... but It doesnt makes any sense..., From:CMDR RAAN CORSEN, Msg:I need CMDR Salomé,

Drew Wagar - well done - o7

nice RetCon

There were plenty of posts before the event basically saying that any of the 4 of them getting through would be a win for Salomé's group.

Now Drew has a brilliant end to his story including (quite possibly expected) betrayal.

Ever heard of Obi Wan? Judas Iscariot perhaps?

I'm actually glad I ended up unable to take part, though. Those guys represent a side of the game that is ugly.

Indeed... what amazes me, though, is that the "leadership" of PAC were gullible enough to trust SDC - despite others suggesting such trust would be misplaced. All the talk about excellent PvP skills - which is true - and they forgot that SDC have a record of causing grief. I didn't expect this to end with anything other than SDC killing Salome, though I hoped I would be wrong.

As already pointed out, it's the story of the scorpion hitching a ride across the stream on the back of a dog... Scorpion stings dog halfway across, and before they both drown, dog asks, why did you sting me? The scorpion says... I am a scorpion. It's my nature to sting.

yes, the others made it. The secret is out (it would have been anyhow). My comment about RetCon was based on the idea that perhaps the idea was that she should die anyhow. Which is clearly nonsense.

Anyhow, the story moves on now: who exactly is behind the conspiracy? Will the players flush them out? Do we even want to? And, clearly, the Thargoids are coming, so how do we prepare?

Hang on, so this Harry potter was among PAC?

Yes that's right. The guys running PAC were so paranoid they wanted everyone stripped of the weapons, but didn't have the sense to keep an eye on the one person most likely to turn traitor on them.

The problem Drew has in writing up his book is that such a gross act of stupidity would be unbelievable.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Yeah agreed that it's a leadership fail by PAC.

At lest it adds the drama of "Her personal defences were infiltraited but a outside group and even got them to dump there weapons", I don't like SDC but they pulled a swift one on this
