It is widely believed that the cave is meant to be in the system HIP 22460... which is permit locked (obviously)

Nothing to go on with that at the moment. Nobody knows how to get the permit, if it is even obtainable at all yet.

Yep, which is why funnily enough I haven't been CoR bashing too much, but as primary protectors who as they noted earlier set up PAC and then backed off to leave it to run where it did, not without blame either.

That's something they have to accept before they can move on as well as understanding why many who should have been their natural allies felt aggrieved by what PAC became and their policies.

It would have been a lot more honourable if she had gone down after rejecting KOS of innocents and working with the devil. As it is there is justification for anybody saying it's good that a terrorist is dead.

Not the best PR in the world or a legacy to be admired, and in no way a martyr for the greater good of humanity. Missed opportunity for me.

Yes, I understand that. But it was clearly said that only one VIP had to survive for the message to be given. And then Raan says he can't give a message without Salome. And Drew pipes up and says the message was lost.

So we were lied to, apparently. This is the part that ticks me off.

I'm tired of the whinging!

We've now had 50 pages of salt about last night's event and how it went down. That is not the purpose of this thread, and I'm surprised the moderators have allowed it; a separate thread should have been set up to contain the action breakdowns, mud slinging, name calling and general rubbish that has been posted.

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT CLUES TO THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY AND THE CONSPIRACY BEHIND IT.
(I honk for Rizal, but I rarely use bold; shame FD nerfed the UP effect)

Can we either get back on topic, or can a moderator please set up a new thread for that purpose so that the Rifters can continue to pursue that goal & remove the PvP aftermath nonsense. We apparently have some LP logs in Teorge, but I'm fairly sure Drew said (when the LPs were found prematurely) that is not the end of it & there is more to find, so we don't have to await Premonition to continue.

Edit: Salomé is dead (pity, I liked her character), but there is still stuff to explore.

And this post is no reflection on anything posted so far on this page, just a reaction to spending too much time wading through 50 pages of salt!

No, the message pointed to something that was found just before the event. Nothing was lost, read the front page of this thread.

I scanned all the listening posts in Teorge before the event even started. I know about those. That's not what I'm talking about. Meh.

There's really nothing to go on right now though. No indication of anything left in the Rift to discover. No indication if there is even anything in the Gap and Conflux. We're completely blind until we get the next breadcrumb. I mean if you want to go out and scour the rift for signs of something, more power to you, but you don't need a thread to say I'm out searching for a needle that may or may not be there in a colossal haystack. This isn't a criticism of anyone's judgment or anything, just kind of miffed that we don't have any leads we can follow.

That's a bit harsh. Perhaps Raan has an encrypted message (or part of one) and one of the other survivors has the key (or part of one) required to unlock it, or something along those lines. One of those nobody can reveal the message if caught sort of things.

Very good points. I made a similar statement some 70 Pages back that we were really moving off topic here. Still it is hard to divorce the formidine rift mystery from what happened yesterday.

Worst of all the thread has now become a cesspool of comments breaking Frontier developments rules against naming and shaming. Maybe when it comes to Harry Potter that rule simply does not apply. If it did the moderators should have taken action a long time ago.

Time to shovel the salt out of the Forum and mail it off to SDC.

That's fine, but that's not what we were told. We were told that only one of them had to survive for us to get our answers. We were also told when the listening posts were prematurely discovered that there was more than just them. Now it feels like we were misled unless there's something big about to come out on Galnet or something.

This!

It's not like we have a huge single map to explore, but rather 1000's of planets. Breadcrumb's are the only way to pinpointing an area.
