Please download the V1.5.5 update and copy the content into your TCE folder to fix the issue.

Hi,
I'm new to this program, thanks for sharing, it looks like a ripper, and is the main reason I joined the forum. I've installed it twice now, and the associated bits n bobs, but upon startup I get "Login Error" down the bottom in the starting black area, and can't do anything further.
It also just amps up the cpu cycles and needs to be closed from task manager .. clearly I've missed something blatantly critical, but have no idea what that is
I've read through most of this thread and now I'm stumped. Any Ideas what I've done wrong ? win 10 64. I've run as admin, installed in D drive, ..
As I'm typing this I realise I can't seem to get to the settings screen so maybe I mucked that up ? Which file stores the initial setup info ? perhaps I can edit that or delete to regenerate, as it hasn't asked me for input settings since the initial install... or did I dream that that even happened

Hi yes thank you.
It seems it was the Local version of the appconfig that had verboselogin at 0.
I altered that and all seems good now.
Its going through the 900 logs atm.

Same problem and I have the latest version installed.
Under UI settings it looks like:
Button1=""
Etc, etc, all the way to 10.

The LOGIN ERROR message comes from the EDMC app, you may have installed, but not properly setup.
Please read this guide here from punkerich, that shows, what you have to do to use EDMC with TCE.
That's the issue, TCE will have a fix for it with the next update tomorrow, but until then, you can fix it yourself by removing all 'Button' (1-10) entries from the TCE.config, so TCE can rewrite the entries on the next start of the launcher.

Tried removing all the Button entries from TCE.config, on launching it rewrote them all back in as ""
Also not only do the icons not appear the buttons do not work either

So I'm not sure what happened or whats going on. I recently went on a short exploration trip and everything seemed fine while out.
In that time there was about 2 or 3 updates to TCE and now when I got back to the bubble and go to any station Auto connect does not work, and many times the connect button will not update the base.
What happens is this. With Auto Connect enabled I land at the base and I see the 10 second or whatever wait period before connection as normal and then it doesn't even try to connect at all. The button just stays saying connect so no attempt is made.
When I go to some bases I haven't been to in a while It says in the upper right corner of the current location box "update required" and many times/most times even after I hit Connect it still says that instead of showing the last date visited there. When hitting the connect button it goes through its things, connects/success/updating, or whatever it all says, I get the 1 min cool down yet it appears not to update the station. Sometimes logging out to menu and back in will help, but usually it will never update any station saying update required.
I have even reinstalled a new version on the latest 1.5.5 full and transferred over my database and still neither scenario works at all.

If you have loaded any rare commodity, TCE stops auto-connect, because of a bug at the game.

I have no cargo, certainly no rares but possibly at times I have some mission rewards junk I have forgotten about. But still even with no cargo its not working.
Though I did recently unlock some engineers and had to get rares for that, is it possible something got bugged and it has stayed that way?
I have tried disabling auto connect and exiting everything then re-launching and renabling the feature. And even went so far as to completely reinstall TCE.
Also what about the stations that say require update in current location window and wont apparently update even after hitting connect button myself?
I had a problem adding a planetary port today. Video /journal file sent. It was around 2300 game time / 7pm local.
I restarted TCE while still docked at the port, and everything worked fine. It detected where I was and added all the data like it normally does.
