Keelback Multicrew

It's the ship that does everything I want in a ship. It is therefore my endgame ship.
Also arguably it is the most versatile ship in the game.

Now if it only was able to do MC,
it wouldn't be so much left out.
Still is a fine ship, Lakon could work
a bit on the speed and maneuvering though.

If it's your endgame ship, coolios. I can't argue with that (your opinion is valid in my eyes). If you argue it is the most versatile ship in the game, then I'd beg to differ. It doesn't do many things particularly well. The FGS, for example, outstrips it in nearly every way in a head to head comparison. As for multirole.... it's only claim to fame is the SLF. Take that away and suddenly the field opens up dramatically. Aside from some combat specific roles (and maybe scouting for POIs) it is not a particularly useful tool. The Keelback is versatile, but it is also not very good at anything. There will always be several other choices more effective at any group of tasks, let alone one task at a time.
Arguably, it is something of a gimick ship, which is why it is not very commonly seen by commanders in Open.
It really should have multicrew though, to stay on topic. NPC are somehow not crew? WTH? That irks me so.

Keelback Multicrew? Yeah why not.

Does it need it? Not really IMO.

I do think however if it got MC it would do a lot for it's popularity.

You're blowing me away with the amount of gameplay there Ozram.
I know, right? It's amazeballz! You can put it to engines, systems or weapons, back and forth at your discression! get symbiotic man! The pip is hot! Hotter would be a Vulture/Keelback baby hybrid!

the vulture always had the second seat...
and you can use it for meaningfull multicrew content - "the copilot is there for the second pip and to talk in chat"

i have my co-pilot there for 360° KWS and Target selection.
I would try a turreted version - but only two turrets i would consider trying, exceed the cost of the ship itself (Beam or Cannon)

The Vulture is a flying turret... I suppose if you're not feeling particular into doing anything that day it might be alright... but the point is the Vulture has one and the Keelback doesn't, in case you missed it.

Turrets are not the only weapon a Gunner position can use. Missiles from anywhere....

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Guys, I drew a comparison for effect, we're talking about the Keelback not having it. I'm saying if it's good enough for the Vulture, it's good enough for the Keelback.

the problem is,
the Vulture ALWAYS had the second seat to begin with. the keelback NOT.
the Vulture can MC simply because all the effort invested was to exchange the co-pilots seat model with the ajdusted co-pilot seat, if even necessary.

i dont know why they put in the ladder into the Asp cockpit. behind both seats is, and always has been, a door, and the connection could have been behind that.

Probably someone said, it takes to long to remoddel the Keelbacks cockpit to incorporate a second seat -
as it is currently, there is nearly no floor-space for it. see my previous posts in this topic for what they would need to do

I'm sure people wouldn't have a problem waiting. The issue is it doesn't make sense, regardless of any of that. As a side, I'm also sure the Vulture came before the Keelback, so Sandro's argument that the Keelback was designed before Multi-Crew seems a bit off.

What's in it for you to defend the Keelback from being Multi-Crew viable anyway?

The Vulture was likely designed to have the trainer/copilot seat from the get-go , rather than specifically a multicrew thing.
