One-time gamesave copy PC to PS4?

well i have nothing to share with you at this time about something that may or may not be important to the information you obvious won't share today, but maybe tomorrow we can look in to these important issues and come up with a work around so no fake news can be used

Dear Boys and girls...i asked Frontier the following question:

Will it be possible for PC / XBOX users to get a one-off transfer of saved game assets to the PS4?

Frontiers Answer:

We understand that asset transfers between accounts are desirable but unfortunately this is not something we'll be able to offer at launch. We realize that this is a desirable service and certainly something we acknowledge.

So - there you go.

Assets transferred has and does happen PC to/ftom Xbox. NOT SAVES. No progress, no ships, no rep, but assets. All your ship and cash turned into credits from your CMDR. It's happened and does happen. The only thing we don't know us if it will for PS4.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my questions, "saved game ASSETS" and FDEV response - 'ASSET transfers is not something we will be able to offer at launch".

I wouldn't see the need to transfer your credits form a PC save surely any seasoned PC player starting again on the PS 4 could earn a couple of 100 million credits in the first day

Wait, I've seen video's on utube that one can make upto 75 million per hour on a pc. Should work the same on PS4, recon. I mean, one cannot post untrue video on the internet, right.

Most of the make money quick things need reputation in certain systems, or passenger cabins, large cargo bays etc etc and such which none of us will have. Just fly, have fun and make what you can where you can. No need to be on a mega rush to be a billionaire.

When I was young, I didn't care about a green back dollar, spent it as fast I can on wine, women and song. Aged since then, due to inflation, now it's beer, wife, and video games.

Simple really do a couple of data missions or a bit of bounty hunting in a high res shooting any wanted ship being attacked by the authority ships earns enough credits to upgrade the FSD and discovery scanner in the sidewinder plus add a fuel scoop fly towards Quince scan everything on the way, sell data improve rank with ruling faction take missions with them and any low paying ones from the other to help build rep, as money builds do donation missions, to speed up rep it doesn't take long. No need for large cargo bays sidewinder with srv and 4 tonnes for the scan missions is enough. I recently went and had a look at quince only took me 4 hours from no rep to allied with all the factions

Or just fly around the bubble scanning earth like or water worlds that will net you a good few million in a couple of hours

Allowing Save transfers would unbalance the game. I'm glad they aren't going with them. Imagine what a player could do with 200 Million credits in spare change and an A-rated Corvette or Cutter and love to grief players. A mass Exodus to Private or Solo or leave the game dead completely.

Not really though, you can really only play one at the time, but even then it wouldn't affect anything but 'your' gameplay

That said I would love being able to simply use an account regardless of console/pc

Yeah...no one buys the PC version any more because people are on high levels

Tell me why this is any different? There are going to be people on higher levels than you, it's not going to spoil the game, it's going to make it more realistic, and a more interesting challenge.
What kind of universe has people all on the same level? And anyhow, this is going to last about 2 days before PS4 version has it's own high level player pirates (or what you are calling griefers) - that's all part of the game.

I play PC version, and I am no way as high level as other players - and no way as good, but I have found my way of playing to cope with the situation - it's called having a challenge - thats the game. I have never played in solo, and proud of that fact.

I don't think people are going to mass play in solo because other people are better than them....but having said that people do play in solo due to fear of other players, and they will do that anyhow.

So man up and take up the challenge, the ED universe is a challenging place, I know that whatever level I am at people will be higher than me as I only get a few hours gaming per week and others play all day everyday....so it really makes no odds.

Tod. I actually bought the PC version a week or so back. :)

Its a mute point, FDev support have said to a number of people, I even asked myself as I have a few million which would make my start a little easier. Not too fused. They may allow transfers some months down the line when the PS4 is up and running. Makes sense. I had a dry run on PC and I am happy, I know what I want to do at the start.

Cheers.

To be honest all I would like to transfer is my founder status, I realise that cash can be transferred (as they did this with PC to Xbox from what I read). Founder status will harm no one, but seems they have not done this with xbox either

This as been answered by FDEV directly to me and others - they WONT be transferring cash or assets at launch. I imagine this may come later down the track.

How do you contact them for this information? I could waste a lot less time guessing on here or decrypting their FAQ!

Shame everyone is becoming a politician nowadays, why not just say it in the FAQ!
