Really? I'll have to go take a look. My memory of the glorious <snip-snip> and the yelping of puppies as they smelled freshly grilled Salty Dogmaa Oysters may have clouded over time - but I do remember this..
I'd say in this case its a bit special. Not because of his reasons for doing it, but GF has been for a long time the voice of the Code and he has provided lots of entertainment to the community.
I must admit, when he first turned up, i thought, "Who is this complete and utter <censored>?", but over time, came to appreciate his rather quirkly sense of humour and his war and peace long posts.
Also, in case anyone is wondering, do not mistake GF for TheCodePR account on reddit. That is not controlled by him, and the person running that account has no PR skills whatsoever.

I jest...No, but I agree Glutony Fang is a prominent member of the community. With solid feedback, and a character that, when I was starting off, kept me intersted in the game.

Based on his OP I would say that Gluttony Fang is an HONOURABLE Player. I would NOT want to go up against him on combat, as he is almost certainly a far better combat Pilot than I am. However, I also feel that, if I were mentoring a new Player, and Gluttony Fang turned up, he would NOT attack us once he knew what we were doing.
I can understand why he has left The Code (because they were either doing or considering actions he does not agree with, and would spoil the enjoyment of others who were playing the Game in a way The Code does not agree with). However, he is NOT a traitor, and so he will NOT betray The Code.
Gluttony Fang, some time back I asked for help in mentoring new Players in differing skills. I have been asked about piracy (and how to go about it), but I have no experience of this. If a new Player were to ask me again, could I point them in your direction for mentoring?

To be brutally honest I don't know how it'd play out. I think personally I'd trust GF to his word if he wanted to join, as above they farm cargo not salt and despite being bad guys they did so honourably... For the most part after the teething introductory period anyway...
Not sure I'd trust HP though, SDC have run a few too many false flag operations for me to believe a word they'd say...

Found out last week that ED will be getting released on ps4 next month, and I'm 99% sure I'll be getting it. I'm interested in the pirate life style for at least PvE (and probably PvP as well unless the whole thing turns sour. I'm not interested in contributing towards a mountain of grief). Are there any thread/forum/youtube channels around with up to date & detailed info regarding rewards, risks, tactics, ship builds etc? Most of the info my google efforts have turned up is from '14 or '15, and likely not very useful.
Some threads from the last 6 months seem to indicate piracy is largely dead and mostly the domain of looking to ruin other players day just for s'n'giggles.
