Maybe hyperdiction isn't considered an unfriendly action, it's just how they grab each other's attention when they want a chat. Also, you might find that their FSD drives are more advanced than ours, and don't shut down for 20 minutes when you sneeze near them.

There is a certain feel you get actually being there instead of watching it on video. Yes it's another non-interactive sequence but it's cool. And something I want to experience for myself, not through video. Even though video is still cool as well

Yes, from that point of view having a completely disabled ship/SRV is a bit frustrating. We have to be content with the knowledge that there are one or more races in our galaxy with tech well in advance of our own. As in science, progress towards the truth is slow.

It's not like it never happened before right? They obviously didn't have the same type of cutscene 6 months ago with no substantial gameplay.
Maybe in a year of selling banana skin for 12$ they'll get a boost in revenue and increase the cutscene to 20 sec.
