Hardware & Technical New joystick from Thrustmaster

Didnt they release a Star Citizen stick?

I think one was prototyped, by Saitek, shown, but never came to market.

Recently went for £50 on eBay : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAITEK-AT...ES-RARE-COLLECTABLE-NOT-FOR-USE-/272672382628

But would you want to use it?

It has a rollerball thing where the thumbhat should be fer God's sake!

One could speculate that it might look like the one ingame....We shall see in a week :)
The one in-game looks like an X52 so that seems unlikely. To be honest I'm surprised FD haven't been threatened by Saitek (or MadCatz / Nvidia / McDonalds / whoever owns the IP this week) for continuing to use their design in-game, especially when FD are making deals with their rivals.

In fact I won't be surprised if the in-game stick changes to look more like whatever Thrustmaster come up with based on this new deal, partly for continuity of visuals but also to avoid any future tangles with Saitek.

Damnit I just spent nearly 100 quid on a T.16000M FCS!

If this is something new and around the same price, but slightly better in design in terms of the button/hat locations, I'm going to be a tad peeved :)

It's okay, I bought an X56 about three weeks ago :p.
That said I love the X56, so I'm happy :).

Even if we Xbox folks still aren't getting an official peripheral, Elite is going strong enough for exclusive products to happen. I say that's still a community-wide win. :3

This is truly excellent news, I've been drooling at a Warthog from them for quite some time, but RL has always managed to get in the way somehow. Really REALLY looking forwards to seeing what this turns out to be, personally hoping for something along the lines of the Warthog but with twist-handle, and hopefully the price will be a teeny bit more humane :)

I seem to remember Ed showing off HOTAS support in the original PS4 announcement/demo at an event a few months back - I suspect this would be that (Elite being the only PS4 game with HOTAS support as the 'exclusive' bit), given the timing. Nice to be wrong though...

As long as it good quality and has twist, I'd buy one. My X52 Pro is also getting old and getting loose (have to increase deadpoints more and more).

o Thrustmaster will be teaming up with Frontier Developments for its game Elite Dangerous, with a product exclusive.

But how would you control space legs with a thrustmaster?

Throttle up.. yaw left; left foot forward. yaw right; right foot forward!

..................

only kidding.. a thrustmaster that is designed in collaboration with ED? Intriguing!
