My auto download date says the 24th playable on the 26th, and that has not changed since the ability to pre buy earlier this month

I was actually surprised that the disc version was coming out near the release date as it was. Frontier is not doing the disc release themselves. A third party company, Sold Out, is handling it. They actually work with a few UK studios and do this. When it was first announced I figured the disc version would be weeks behind the digital version. I was happy to see they were trying to do it at the same time.

I'm glad I went with the digital download. There was a big thread awhile back whether to go digital or physical media, and a lot of folks felt the disc would be delivered the same day the digital content would be playable. I was a bit suspicious because of the way this assertion was lacking on Amazon. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled ED is coming to physical media (it's good for ED & Frontier), but my own personal preference is digital when available.

My kids are all finally 18, but the one thing they taught me was if they see a game disc, the laws of the universe say they need to scratch or break it. Even when its in the dang case and on a shelf they should not have been able to reach.

I per-ordered from Best Buy it still says delivered by June 27. I checked if I could per-order and pick up a copy the answer yes 10AM June 27 at a store 9miles from my home. I do not have any worries about it not showing up and see no reason to believe I should.

As with most disc versions of games on PS4 when you install it the game requires you to also immediately update it afterwards.

Just checked on Amazon for physical version and it does state June 27th as the release date. I preordered the physical copy and after reading this thread had me worried for a bit lol but I think (hoping) I will still be able to get my disc and play on the 27th.

Release date is indeed the 27th. Check your order to see the delivery date. I just double checked and mine still reads as follows.

Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.

I am also still hoping that it updates before long. Worse case, I can cancel and order through PSN a few days before release if we don't see an update.

I have to admit I haven't played on my PS3 in a very long time, so it will probably take me a little while to get use to the PS4 (that will be my excuse for dying a lot lol)

In any case, if the Best Buy deal wasn't so good I would have totally gone digital as I prefer it :)

Thanks again all - and I hope all of us who ordered "day one" copies of the game on disc get them launch morning [where is it]

If you're concerned, feel free to contact Sold Out in the UK. They responded to me within 24 hours on June 5th regarding the physical release. I had an email exchange with David Walker, and got the response below:

Hello

As it stands the release date in North America is 27th June. The stock is in manufacture so we will get a confirmed delivery date later this week at which point we will be able confirm the date 100%.

Actually when i went from the PS3 to the PS4 I found it easier to navigate, and the controller easier to use..... not to mention the headphone jack is now in the controller, you will find its a lot nicer and a lot more updated.

PS4 and Uncharted have arrived - can't wait to find time to open it and set it up!
