the first turn of the general elections.

LREM ( Macron's party, center ) 32,32%
LR ( right ) 21,56%
PS ( left ) 10.2%
FI ( alt left ) 11%
FN ( alt right ) 14%

Abstention : 51%:(

Macron's voters where those that voted massively ( 75% ), FN, FI and PS voters where those that mostly didn't vote.[rolleyes]

On a total of 577 seats, LREM will obtain between 400 and 440 seats, LR between 95 and 132 seats, PS and allies ( which previously owned 330 seats ) between 15 and 25 seats, FI will obtain between 13 and 23 seats, FN between 2 and 5 seats.

What just happened yesterday is historical for many reasons.

It is the first time in the 5th republic that the French National Assembly will see such a massive majority, it is unprecedented.
Secondly, both major French parties just lived MASSIVE defeats. Special mention to the Socialist Party that has practically disappeared form the political stage.

To put this in context, imagine if the Tories just lost more than half of their seats, and the Labour had simply vanished and the Lib Dems possessed more than 3/4 of the chamber.

Just to remind, that Macron's party ( LREM ) is not even a year old !

Revolution is En Marche !

Good analysis. However the very high abstention rate is very worrying. And such a majority in parliament is worrisome for the parliamentary democracy. For the 48% who voted, you say it, only 32% voted for the party of Macron. We can not say that there is an adhesion of the French people. Effectively, the revolution is underway. But what revolution ? We will see in the coming months / years. God saves the France ...

Good analysis. However the very high abstention rate is very worrying. And such a majority in parliament is worrisome for the parliamentary democracy. For the 50% who voted, you say it, only 32% voted for the party of Macron.

.... but it's a significant majority of those who voted, which makes it perfectly legitimate. Major structural changes (probably permanent) have been initiated on much less of a majority....

The legitimacy of the election of Macron and his deputies is not disputed. The French prefers to see new deputys who are not for the majority of professionals of the policy. What is very weak is the adhesion of the French people to the project

But i seen... Result of the russian style mud slinger politics, and campaign because right me if i wrong? But you never seen this dirty and poisonous campaign either?

No it is not. It is a disgust of the French political class, the employers, the elites, the oligarchy. And this is not an adhesion for Macron and his project. A massive rejection of the liberal system that Macron wants to install, and a total indifference for the EU. The French are tired of being considered as morons

Yup... That's the Russian style.

And it's started By le pain right? And we seen it already in Hungary, England, USA, and now? In France. Typical Putinist .
Don't try to talk absurd. I know what i saying and i see where it's came from. Don't brother with denial. IT's a waste of time, especially when all you need to do to check the news.

I do not understand anything about what you say. I'm talking about the French and their problems, and you're talking about Russian conspiracies. I do not see the link

Can Macron make constitutional changes with a 2/3 majority? He seems to be getting a very strong mandate to change things in France.

So you are out of ideas too how to answer.

And also? Seems like you forgotten i already told how its going to go down how its going to happen, i told they will going to decrease the voters number.
A told, this is how putin rules Russia, and this is what's going to happen everywhere where he goes to spread his poison.

You seem to be completely paranoid. Are you persecuted by the conspiracies ? In France, when we say 57% of abstention, there is really 57% of abstention. We are not in the UK. The elections in France are very controlled. In my street and more generally among my relations, nobody has voted. In my city there is 60% of abstention
