What time will you be on when it launches?

well unfortunately for me, I wont be playing till maybe 8/9pm bst as I'm at work:(:( early start so waiting up not a option. I really cant wait.........so close commanders, then we become ELITE

nah we become mostly harmless first getting to elite will take months maybe a year if we take our time. but its not the destination thats important, it's the mayhem and destruction on the journey that matters.

P.S. i don't condone violence in real life, but if i see the same ship trying to kill me more than 3 times, i will defend my wardrobe

Looking forward to it! If only FDev would give us some decent hair...

How much different will my hair be to Old Duck's special lady? This much...

Well we are about a week away and it is really like Christmas as a 10 year old! I am going to have a hard time sleeping the night before. Actually for about a week after release. I have the day off. The kids are on summer break so I can just try and get set up and start meeting you all in the black. I will be in open all the time for the most part.

asap, after spending a ridiculous amount of time creating my character.

Unlike most rpgs you can go back as often as you like to change your character so you can just set a placeholder or even ignore it entirely on day one and get flying sooner ;)

^this. Nothing worse that not spending time making your avatar and regretting it hours into a game :)

Do you have a "plastic surgery" option in ED to change it later?
If so, how does this work?

My bad, should have read on!

Preach it brother! I'm glad it's not a limitation in ED. Drives me nuts how the character creation lighting in so many games never matches game world lighting, the angles and poses are often very limited, etc. I've created what I thought were great looking characters in other games, only to see them "in the real world" and face-palm.

I doubt my local gamestop will be having a midnight release for any of the games releasing that day. But if they do I will set my alarm, pick it up then download it and get it ready then go back to bed because of work. Who am I kidding I will end up staying up all night and regret it when I go to work the following day.

I won't get in the pilot seat until around 7pm GMT. I have work and then family stuff going on. Going to be a long day on the 27th.

In answer to the title, using 68 years of wisdom and a 12 year olds logic, I'll be on Mountain time, same as I am now.

Ninety-nine knights of the air
Ride super high-tech Sidewinders
Everyone's a super hero
Everyone's a captain Kirk
With orders to identify
To clarify and classify
Scramble in the nighttime sky
Ninety-nine gold Sidewinders go by

For the kids in the forum:

Brilliant, have some virtual rep (as I can't rep you any more right now)

haven't heard that track in decades (well, it feels like it)

Hmm, that sounds like most Bethesda games to me lol ;) I learnt with those to leave a save open right before they give you the last chance to change it ingame!

I will double check I'm right next time I fire up elite as the options are still there once created but I've not had to use them :) I'll post back if I'm wrong!

You can tinker with your HoloMe as much as you like, it's not a one time at creation deal.

Niiiiiiiiiiiice, I like the sound of that. Always hated a lot of games that once you complete a character creation then that's it and cant go back to change it up
