FD & PS4 players, you should be aware that attempts are being made to sabotage launch.

Note: i'd also not be surprised to find them trying to infiltrate private groups we're talking about. ie: the PS4 founders; Misfits of Science etc

thanks for the concern Stinja much appreciated o7, though i don't think my group of misfits is worthy of infiltration by a bunch basement dwelling keyboard trolls with way to much time on there hands ;)

Should I have a problem in any part of the design or as I've heard spirt of the game. I must go to the player in charge of a system for resolve, not FDev. Hmmmmm

Billl, just so you are aware, the "Hudson" Jintosh refers to is not a player. It's one of the PowerPlay leaders - basically an NPC that governs an area of the bubble.

Despite having the Horizons content, would opting to start in the SRV-less Sidewinder - thus starting in a random Fed system - lessen the severity of this form of sabotage?

Although the game says "random Fed system", it's always Trevithick Dock in LHS 3447.

If this is true at all, just stick to Solo or Private until the whole debacle dies down. Then pick a system to meet up with your friends at.

As a Xbox One ED player, welcome to the game and I hope your experience isn't tainted by griefers.

Oh, dear.

I have never played, but doesn't Solo and Private still use the same griefed universe?

Things like faction influence and station status and stuff are affected, yes, but I seriously doubt they can affect the background sim fast enough to lockdown or UA bomb ALL the starter system stations. But they won't be able to kill you or gank/attack/whatever you. Safe from player killing. Which is the most important thing right now methinks.

An interesting little theory of mine (I've just come up with it).

Other than preparing the servers for the addition of a new platform, the exceedingly long server down time serves to prevent any adverse interaction by the toddlers trying to derail the PS4 Launch. The longer it's down the less time they have to mess about...

Aww...

Quite possible that FDev was aware of the impending chaos and knowing there is a whole class of cadets biting at the bit to get into action, deceided on the 27th to deal with those that would do FDev harm. Imagine if you can, a couple of thousand hyped up noob cmdr's with something to prove, released and comming out of the mail slot for an hour, with nothing to loose but our replaceable winders and a whole lot of incentive to get the ball rolling in regards to combat.

So basically this 'sabotage' is what has been going on since I started playing shortly after launch... here's some advice that has been handed out since the game launched: get as far away from the starter systems as you can. Problem solved. No criminal conspiracy going on here. Just the forums overreacting as per usual.
