Anyone UA hunting or UP hunting want to wing up? It's been months since I UA hunted last time and I don't know what the fastest method is.

Edit : First thing that comes to mind : This is the grown up form of the Barnacles. There are barnacle spires all around.

The inventory description for the new unknown structure data type confirms they are made from the same stuff as Barnacles. it also says this new structure seems grown, not built.

So even if not exactly the same thing, they are related.

And the data descriptions refer to structures, plural

Anybody think that the central structure on the top could be a funnel of some sort?? As the flower ships are havesting the barnacles and then returning here and unload in that central spikey bit in the middle??

Something like that yeah. It could be a docking port of some sort where a single Thargoid flower ship can dock. It's certainly not by accident that the shape is similar to a Thargoid flower ship.

It dosen't. Sadly this site appears dead. Mycoid maybe? Most likely an old hive.

There are broken spires and exterior damage. I think INRA got here before we did.

Also, scavengers drop Unknown fragments, so very highly likely directly related to UAs

Door opens with UA in your SRV, we may have scanned most of the data points before someone brought a UA.
