By the way, why didn't you guys made a default control scheme for the Hotas, Lloyd? :p
How does a noob like me config an Hotas 4, especially when itseems to be some sort of issue with it? [haha]

the very first item (defaults to "Default Context" I think), you need to cycle through to select you controller, I think

I've tried the training missions with the DS4 controller, and am just about to go out and buy the HOTAS - too used to using one on the PC :(

am getting an update - I will check that out when its done - about 70 minutes apparently....

Hi Astro,

There should be a default setup available on the Controls screen. With your HOTAS plugged in head to the Controls menu where you assign the buttons. Select the drop down menu at the top and select "T Flight HOTAS 4". If this option isn't available please let me know.

BIG issue is the throttle - I expected analogue continuous throttle as it states in the options and set-up but in-game it is either 100% on or 100% off. Have you tried landing with an all or nothing throttle?

SECOND big issue - landing gear deployment is O and down hat as default...which is FUN considering O is also BOOST!!!! try that for giggles.

Yeah, boost and submenu containing landing gear are tied to the same button on controller too. Recommend you change that. I didnt until I had an accidental boosting incident in a station and ate a 36 million rebuy...

I can confirm that my HOTAS 4 was mapped correctly and that the thruttle works as intended.
I did have to force disconnect my DS4 in PS4 menu to get it working though.

hey so problem solved - Cheers Lloyd. Noob mistake on my part - carry on and keep calm everyone!!!

The ps4 can only handle one controler unless there's multiples playing. Then I believe it's only 4 total. When playing solo, one cannot utilize two controler, the hotas is basically a disfigured ds4.

I have the HOTAS 4 - not had issues with the throttle, mines analogue as I'm having no issues docking / landing. There is an option to select the thrustmaster hotas 4 in the controls you don't have to map everything individually.[woah]

You can use the DS4 to move the cursor around the map using the touchpad

There is a setting on PC at least to set the throttle to zero out at the middle point or at the lowest point. Check the settings for that... I think it was a tic box. Can't check as I still have 3 hours and will not get around to the game till tomorrow night.

The DS4 and Hotas 4 work fine together in War Thunder, so at least it should be do-able. Hopefully this is just a temporary bug.

Not tried mine yet so thanks for the reports and quick fix instructions :) can you set it to zero at the halfway point with lower being reverse?

Do any of you HOTAS 4 users also have the T.Flight rudders and can you confirm if they work in Elite or not?
