SPOILERS - Activated Alien Site - Puzzle Solved!

Yeah there is a new unknown commoditie called the unknown link and it reacts in space with the other 2 items. There is also a new audio map that is currently being picked apart.

Our ships are equipped with a mysterious "data link" and I am wondering if this has something to do with what the Thargoids have in store for us.

You can use it already for a few things. I imagine more of it's usefulness will come soon during the whole 2.4 unrolling process.

This was probably supposed to take weeks ... from discovery to solution ..... how do you guys and gals do it ? :) The hive mind of humans is amazing.

You know, I wonder if the crater existed beforehand, and the Thargoid stuff just grew in and around it (i.e., they selected it), or if the crater is there because they made it (through impact, and with a resulting twisting of the landscape over time).

So this galaxy does belong to the Thargoids. We're merely intruding. That's rather rude of us. No wonder they're ticked off.

The decent thing to do is have a suicide party at Saggy A and jump in afterwards.

You know, right now i really really hardly trying to resist the urge, to make some assumptions about the Guardians disappearance, but... i... just... can't... keep... my... mouth... shut...

Agreed with that, the first time I went looking I got lucky within 20 to 30 minutes, the second time, nearly an hour or so. Although, to be fair, perhaps if we weren't just look for free floating ones and went for the ones in convoys there would have been more chances but I don't usually fight so that route doesn't work for me especially in an asp fitted for exploration.

Very nice work, it looks like a projection of the galactic map Thargoids version.

As pretty as it looks, I feel it's a bit on the 'lean' side to be a reflection of the Milky Way. I suspect it's indicating something more specific (Ammonia worlds?), or perhaps it's just symbolic?

That's what I was thinking. For a galaxy map, the lack or a central hub is a bit odd. Therefore, as you suggest, it's either not a map or it's a stylised one. Seems to indicate blue and green stars, so ELWs and Ammonia Worlds perhaps?

All of the thargoid locations?

Thargoid Homeworld perhaps?

Data link is actual technology used today on Aircraft. So far it has been used to interface with the Generation ships and for scanning alien tech. Enjoy it and hope they dont make these special scanners a required slot on your optionals.

I have a feeling this is what the barnacles eventually grow into. That explains the cracked earth, the rumblings, and the lights and sounds from the Barnacle.
