As you play on big TVs?

Sounds like yer refresh rate (mhz) which has to be changed on yer tv settings and confirmed on yer xbone settings. Im assuming its the same fer both considering one had to do the same on the pc too...3 platforms, same issue go figure ^

Just had to come say hi,small world mate :p Far as font goes,this is one of the clearest(easiest readable games) i've played,clear and sharp on my tv.

I have a 42" 1080p HD TV. I sit around 3 metres away from my TV. When I was watching live streams of ED, I could only just see the text. I have 20/20 vision. The weekend before the launch I moved my PS4 into the spare room on a much smaller TV and play it on a desk so I am right in front of the screen because I was concerned I wasn't going to be able to read all the text. I am going to try it on my big TV at some point but I think I will need a bean bag or gaming chair to sit closer.

Elite Dangerous is a PC game first and foremost, so it will always be designed to be played up close to a monitor, and there is so much information that needs to be presented I don't think you could make the text much bigger at all and still display it.

To the OP I hope you manage to get a setup that is comfortable and works for you.

I did the measurement, before the TV is exactly 3 meters. You can see in the photo, from what I've seen.

3 meters is way too far back for a 46". Cut that in half at least and you should be good. If it were me, I would shoot for about 3.5 feet from the screen. You are also going to want to reduce all the ambient light in the room if you want a truly immersive experience.

Space is DARK! ;)

I run my PC version of Elite out to a 55" SONY XBR Flat Panel @ 1080p 60hz, and I am sitting less than 7 feet from the screen. (6 feet 4 inches to be exact)

P.S. You could also use this as a great excuse to buy yourself a new LARGER TV! If 3 meters is your preferred distance, then a 70" or larger panel would be the size I would suggest.

What do you mean it's too big darling? Someone on the forums told me I had to buy at least a 70" tv!
