So am I right in thinking in the spectrogram:

The UA points at Merope (matches the system in the image)
The UP leads to another system (can't remember which) which presumably matches that system map.
The UL leads to another UL site (which is why the bottom and top images are the same)

They are different. One is filled circle, the other is empty. Small difference but maybe important?

Completely random theory...
What if the sites are not technically 'wrecks' but flower ships which have landed and re-purposed as relays/info storage or a sort of production facility for the UP's, UR, etc.
The scavengers are simply disassembling remaining ship material and recycling it as probe building/conversion materials??

Edit: Realised it's a similar observation as CMDR Codexghost.

The wrecks, if you look at all of them are in differing states of decay or, on the flipside, you might say repair?!

Not in eddb. My data is half a year old (i am currently updating) and this was the very only system in eddb database that matches. All other systems have belts, rings, more or less planets.

How can i decide from the name if 2 planets are binary or planet+moon?

Believe EDDB gets its system info from EDSM, so if a system hasn't been reported yet to EDSM, or if it's permit locked (e.g. Col70 sector fy-n c21-3) then it won't show.

Someone posted recently that a system in Aries dark region also matches the RHS system diagram, sorry lost the note of which one.

I heard of it while eavesdropping on some gankers at hip 14909 today, (what they talk about when alone is another story).

I thought it was a troll, being so close to hip 14909.

It is in a better state of repair than any other site I have seen.

I did my reconnaissance in VR. You would be startled at how different the sites look in 3D.

Its quite clearly a massive ship in the region of 10km in diameter.

Quite terrifying.

UL Exploded!!

Hey all. I don't know if maybe I missed something in this massive thread, but I decided to go to Merope and play the unknown signals to the UL. I parked in view of the star and jettisoned the UL. Playing the first recording yielded no result. I played the second, and it seemed like nothing was going to happen, once again. After a couple of moments though, the UL simply...exploded. "Target Destroyed". I was not moving and no one else was in the area. Luckily, I was recording. I will be posting shortly.

Edit: I was not actually recording. :/ I'm gonna go grab another UL and try to replicate the results. If I can't, it was a fluke, I suppose.

It isn't pointing towards the planet. I jettisoned it last night next to the planet 2 A and definitely didn't point towards it. Again, it's pointing towards the bottom plane of the formidine rift area, or at least in that direction.

Do you have any screenshots?
it would be nice to put the terror/horror back into FRift, I know a certain space penguin who is nostalgic

That happens after a while. They degrade over a short time. To replenish their health pop em back in your cargo hold.

Interested if you are able to replicate. Perhaps there is a distance limit to the ULs. Another test could be trying the same thing at another system well removed from the suspected destination encode, to rule out it is specific to Merope.

Edit: Nevermind Although there could still be a distance limit without the explosion part.
