In short, if it's red or yellow, the signal targets haven't been recorded or aren't known yet.
Update: A couple of the red ones should be grey to mark them inactive US020 and US024

I know, have been there myself together with some fellows, we activated and scanned (got the 3 messages) but when I dropped out of SC above the planet to record the ULs responses a pirate dropped in and stole my UP and UL
now I have to get a new UA to enter site and aquire a fresh UL - tomorrow
That's what I'm using but it looks like people are racing ahead without tracking their steps

Well, the planets seem to be moons in the vast majority of cases. As for their attributes I haven't really looked, but the systems all seem to have either an ammonia world or a gas giant with ammonia based life.
yup - should point to US007 as well - added for the next update
Also, I suggest to use double sided arrows for cleaner look as some sites indeed link to each other.
I was there earlier, and they started attacking me when I left. Not cool. I got away, but they were not friendly.
On the other hand double sided arrows make it harder to verify if everything has 3 outgoing arrows.
Oooh. That probably explains it. My wide angle scanner is on my AspX, but I'm flying the Anaconda right now with a standard.
Just landed at synuefe ov-k d9-56....came across 2 USS...one was a stranded type 7 and the other was 3 eagles...looks like they'd just had a fight and won....none thargoid action....shame. My heart skipped a beat when they popped up.
Better - the double arrowed connector was hiding as an object instead of being in the connection properties where I expected it
