The human brain is a funny thing. We say we want things a certain way, like all these store items in the game. But if they were in the game we wouldn't value them in the same way dropping a few dollars so we can exclusively use them does. What triggers our happy centers in the brain is at odds with what we think is reasonable economics. It's why Clash of Clans prints money, Casinos print money (unless you're Trump), World of Warcraft prints money and it's why Frontier's store probably is a healthy financial return.
