Nice one. Apologies if you've already mentioned it btw - the thread's whizzing along at the moment, and it coincides with a load of RL stuff for me so I'm not as on top of things as I usually try to be! :D

During lunch break I found geysers on Mel 22 Sector ZU-P c5-1 4A were one of the bases is (1.3 Mm away) - coordinates 29.89 0.95
Just in case someone needs to rest from alien stuff for a moment :)

It's ordinary. I filled up my data inventory just by doing the mission. Many of the obelisks give scan data, pattern alpha, beta, delta, epsilon, and gamma.

I got the same result of UP/UA as you (I don't have an UL yet). The obelisks only give me answer from Ram TAh that it's an invalid combiation. And if I scan the towers (relics), nothing happens either.

It's extremely tedious and laborious, it took me several hours to get it. I saw someone made a comment that didn't cross my mind and you might consider. If you can engineer your sensors/scanners to increase their width (wide scan), it seems it can increase the occurrences of USS hits, and with that increase your chances to get the UP.

Also I checked Aries Dark Region JW-W c1-4 just now and it is dead with all entrances broken/blocked

Not sure if that's the case either. I have a high speed connection, no problems connecting, but the respawn for the UP is terrible for me. I wonder if it has to do with server/instancing rather?

Do you happen to have a long range modded sensor? Some people were having trouble finding them with those because of the narrower viewing angle.

So it seems to make a big difference. This might also suggest the narrower scan angle from a lightweight may convey a significant handicap for UP hunting.

All my hunting was round Pleiades sector KC-U B3-1 8.

I think you have a point. I just realized that my sensors on this ship is not standard, but a lightweight. I have the wide angle mod on another ship. So I have to remember when I go USS hunting of any form to take the other ship.

Hi, UL will do not seem to spawn for me in the UL spawn chamber. What am I doing wrong?

The tentacles come down, but there no UL. Help please.

I have a UA, but no UP currently.

I just took a trip over to the unknown site in Mel 22 YU-F B11-1 for the second time. While I was there, I noticed several (about 4 in the immediate vicinity of one of the doors) of these "gas vents" coming out of the ground outside the central structure. See photo:

Have these always been there? I don't remember seeing them outside the ship central structure last time (I do remember seeing them inside). Also, I remember carefully driving around eggs outside the central structure last time I was there (about 2 days ago) and now I don't see any eggs. Could they have turned into these vents somehow? Am I going space mad?

Edit: Also, have any sites been found that are in better condition than Mel 22 YU-F B11-1?
