Servers are screwed again....

Same problem today, adjudication server error message. Can not turn in any passenger missions without numerous attempts, server changes, etc. Very, very aggravating. Please fix.

Edit: gave up on pax missions and joined mulitcrew to fly a fighter off his ship. 3 attempts, 1st failed, 2nd worked and I got some combat in, 3rd failed. Disconnect messages. So it's not just pax missions. Will try some exploring or something that doesn't involve turning in missions.

Singapore here.
Same problem with the adjudication server. Can't seem to turn in donation missions without getting kicked out to main menu.

Just getting the same adjudication server problem.

Was happening to me a lot last night, but only if I tried to turn in a charity mission for Cr. The mission would take the money from my account but still be present as if it wasn't turned in, but based on the increase in rep I think it was. Each time you had to restart in which ever mode you were in to see the mission, but in any other mode the mission wouldn't be there any longer (indicating it was turned in). Once during the entire multi-hour session, the mission turned in correctly. I figured everyone was experiencing it as well so I didn't say anything or log a report.

I've been noticing odd things like this lately though, like getting extended "align with target trajectory" messages while boosting toward the target, or "FSD Jump Cancelled" while in station, didn't touch the button. Growing pains.

So explain yourself. I have explained my position, the idea is that you must counter it with facts. If you can do so, I will happily admit I am wrong.

As I stated above, latency is important for real-time responses. It is much less important for the transfer of data which is not time critical (which can be applied to all the data provided by FD's server). By time critical, I mean that things will stop working if a response isn't received very quickly. The only thing that happens when the mission board data or match-making data takes a long time to be returned is that you wait slightly longer to see the menu/enter the instance.

So much for walking away...

Naw, I neither have the time, patience, and most importantly, the inclination to explain anything to you. Besides, you're not looking for an explanation, you're looking for an education, and that, my fine feathered commander, isn't something I'm going to give you. We live in the age of information, "Google it".

Same here. Impossible to turn in missions.

I can understand that sever problems occur. What I find unacceptable is the incredible lack of any response; even just to say "we're aware of it and a fix is forthcoming".

Are they

(a) unaware? That's gross incompetence. We run servers and have dashboards and real-time alerts to people who are responsible for making sure red lights turn back into green lights.
(b) aware but don't care enough to communicate this to the community?

It's one or the other -- not great options when this is a problem that started yesterday and impedes play (being generous here; "prevents" is really the more-appropriate adjective)

Back to what I said earlier in this thread about extremely high latency/ping times between the client and the Frontier servers.

What are you guys getting for ping times to Frontier right now? My stats show the usual 500ms or higher, which is terrible for any online game connection. High pings can mean many things, but in this case I think the FD servers are simply taking that long to respond to a ping from a client. DEATH for any form of fluid online gameplay.

But... This is "Normal" for my connection with Elite, and I just have to deal with it by sticking to Solo Mode. All my other games have the usual 30-85ms pings to their game servers, and I can switch back and forth between games and constantly find ED with its telltale 500ms+ .

I'm playing from Central California / Sierra Nevada / USA.

I appreciate what you are saying but this is an FD server issue I have the network trace for this and it the same thing each time, I have brought this up with FD before they have confirmed it's on the server side. (I do network traces for a living) as for my ping time it's 12ms and 0% packet loss..
from the logs the timeout you see is coming from the FD servers responding to the request from my client, this point of the logs has nothing to do with any other players in the instance. it does not matter if this is in open or solo the result is the same.

Took a "donate 1m cash" mission, because they are simple and quick. Tried to turn it in five times. Crashed every time. And if it's not done in the next few hours, I'll get negative rep with my favourite minor faction. Really unhappy in the 21st century, with FD insisting this has to be an "always online game", that they don't have a robust platform. Yes, it's just a game, but it's so flipping annoying, and a little better solution design from FD would remove these sort of irritants.

Plus, why aren't FD watching for disconnnect alerts, see them spike, and push out a note they are aware and then fix it.

Server very bad tonight. Literally cannot go into supercruise, i get a 5 min loading to sc and then matchmaking server error even in solo.

Just as MR_Zeno said, time to play something else.

It probably not "a"... :)

Well, that's odd...

Today I was larking around in my AspS with an SRV and I picked up a couple of cannisters of some rare mineral, which is when I discovered that my AspS wasn't recalling like it's supposed to.
In the end I drove my SRV off a cliff to go out in a blaze of explodey glory so I could get back to my ship.

Since then, I've been flying about in my Vulture and my FdL, both of which have absolutely NO cargo capacity at all.
In fact, I was in my AspX earlier, got some mat's as a mission reward, went to swap back into the FdL and the game wouldn't let me.
Because my FdL has no cargo space.

So, I'm now flying about in my Cutter, just went to sell a load of stuff and then noticed that I still have 2t of cargo in my hold.

Turns out that the 2 cannisters of rare minerals which I scooped up in my SRV (which subsequently blew up without ever getting inside a ship again) are now, somehow, in the hold of my Cutter. [blah]

I get the feeling that things are happening behind the scenes. [where is it]

Hand in certain missions, mainly (but not exclusively) donation missions, is impossible right now. The mission board itself seems unaffected, at least on my side. Taking missions is no problem but handing some of them in is. Personally I only know for sure about donation missions but other mentioned more mission types being affected as well.

That too yeah, I can't do donation missions, they give that error message that was reported. Boom data and other data delivery missions are working though.
