He's pledged Fed, and we're an Imperial combat wing. Nothing more pure than Imperials killing Feds. The fact that it's on a planet doesn't really mean anything.
That stunning moment someone manages to go a full paragraph and only speak sense.
just like in reality, any random person passing on the street could decide to kill you for no reason
How about it's a game and it's within the rules of said game?
At first i was judging the OP for an obvious Grief using exploited game mechanics.
Then i saw the combat log at the end and realised this video demonstrates alot of what is wrong with ED, its exploit culture and broken PvP.
Everyone featured in this video has no class.
Fdev should watch this vid and learn.
Me neither....then I saw 'Rain Man' & it all made sense!
No different than "He's [that race], we're [this race]." or "He's [this orientation] we're [that orientation]."
Can't argue, it's exactly the same. Speaks volumes for those involved, doesn't it?
You seem oddly attached to that asp, despite the fact that in spite of bugged weapon exploitation it would likely fall in seconds to a decent commander with seekers.
I think that all the actions that happen in the game, in terms of relationship between players, have to happen under the game context.

I'm the kind of person who would evade conscription for even the most 'just' of conflicts because I won't murder at the command of others, or materially support those who are.
However, if my in game character had pledged to support a power, that character would feel obligated to fight that power's enemies...were he, she, or it, an honest individual, of course.
What did that poor guy do to you ?that's mean
He's pledged Fed and we are an Imperial combat wing... it's the best reason to attack someone really.

Only advantage I can think of is that it packs maximum cheese into the minimum of tonnage![]()

Well, under my perspective, this is a simulator, and not only a space flight simulator itself. I think that all the actions that happen in the game, in terms of relationship between players, have to happen under the game context. I mean that a player should not shoot to other player without pretext, in the same way that a soldier does not shoot to another soldier only "for fun". The pretext can be war between game factions, piratery... etc. but not only for fun. Of course this is my personal opinion. I find "the fun" in the game, but, especially, in the way of playing it.
So let me get this straight- you needed backup to destroy an unmanned ship?
Lol what a coward.
It's just just about that, man.
Don't get me wrong - Far be it for me to tell you how to play your game, Shady. And you're obviously proud of your combat ASP, as you should be....
But the guy was in his SRV, man. He was in his SRV, and he said that he "comes in peace". On top of that his ship is obviously not anywhere near as engineered as yours is, if even at all. And even with all of those factors, you chose to engage in a way that made him unable to retaliate at all.
Again, don't get me wrong. Use any and all tools at your disposal to get what you want...But if you're looking for the "thrill of combat", perhaps you should find yourself a more worthy adversary. Or at least one that isn't so totally caught off guard.
Maybe I'm just old school like that. To each their own.

How about some people stop finding crappy excuses and deliberatly admit that making others salty is their (despicable) way to have fun in Elite ?
Obvious issues aside, the OP just seems like a very thinly veiled way of getting round the no naming and shaming forum rule to me?
You seemed to have got away with so kudos to you
Okay, sure big guy. Question, do you wait around for your buddy to help hold your scmeckle when it's time to go potty? Lol. "Better wait for my buddy to show up or else this unmanned ship might whip my butt!"
Honor is too much to ask, but Jesus son... Grow a pair.
...and he hits the mother load. Will it sustain him? Will this satisfy his need? Stay tuned right here for the next installment of.
And that's where I loose interest, and my cleverness.
