Hi all,

I don't know where you've got the idea that mission commodities are gone, but they aren't.

All that has changed is we added MEFs to the micro resources given by missions and we removed 5 unused micro resources.

Commodities remain unchanged.

Thanks,
Dom

I'm disappointed that MEFs are back as mission rewards when they can be gained VERY EASILY from base scanning. The game needs more exciting ground escapades and this is taking a step backwards.
I'm disappointed that Engineer commodities have been removed, making the game so easy I can engineer an entire ship in a day without taking my eyes off the movie I'm playing.
I'm disappointed that 'materials that are not used for anything' haven't been made useful for 'something'. In fact I'm very disappointed when I go engineering I can't make a fuel scoop that scoops faster, an AFMU with extended ammunition, heat-proof armours for fuel scooping, life support with expanded air tanks, rapid fire point defences, extended range ECM, Torpedoes that actually justify only having one or two shots, High explosive missiles, turreted cannons that actually hit their targets... seriously I could go on.

Nice post..

I agree 100% on the MEF.
Fixing the mission rewards to work correctly and removing un-used items from there would really be sufficient.
yes, I am one of those guys that is constantly throwing MEF and EFC and BTC out......

Hey, when did the truth ever matter?

Always nice to see an update.

Is there any possibility that there are some undocumented fixes in this one?
(e.g. 2.3.10 included a fix for disappearing avatar during hyperspace which was never mentioned in the patch notes).

But why the Hell don't you just get rid of them? :D

Like many players on the forum in the UK, I'm at home this morning and expected to take a bit of time on Elite. 10am is a ridiculous time. Yes, US is affected too, but surely a 12am US ET time, 5am UK time would have been less disruptive to the majority of players? For those further East, it is prime play time for them too right now (6/7pm SE Asia time!)
Therefore, next patch time, please cause less impact by choosing a better down time start.

Are you happy to pay the extra overtime?

Can bring back some basic commodities into Engineer Blueprints then? Maybe? Oh yes! :D

Please please though, reword "Slow Down" (aka. I can't) as engine "overspeed" .. ?

(and for a favour, Galactic Powers left panel label as brought to you, by .. 'Galnet'? Though I don't care quite as much about that one)

I'm glad, I bought a space game to fly in space, I hate landing on planets, I hate even more driving around them. All mats should be available from a variety of sources.

That's people for you. We tend to read a comment that somebody who doesn't know what they are talking about has made, and take it as thus saith Frontier Developments

What! No way! I love landing on the planets and exploring for goodies and WANTED skimmers to smash up.

So combat mission still force combat ships to have cargo racks? - or have FD finally seen sense and added an option to disgard the commodity part?

"- Various mission tweaks and fixes."

'Fixes' gives the impression stuff like this has been fixed.
