Now That We Have The Controllers Back, Name The Voices

I'll start with US first. :)

Fed Controllers:

Jubilation T. Cornpone: Mouthful of grits and chaw.

Dr. Beverly Crusher: Is Gates McFadden really that desperate? :)

Eagle Scout: The Straight Arrows Are Always The First Ones To Snap.

Engineers:

Igor: Heard at two bases, most notably at The Dweller's.

Dark Helmet: also heard at at least two bases (Elvira, for one). Deep voice. Catchphrase Is "Goodbye....Commander....Bond". :)

Your turn!

they really should get a few more voice actors in to vary it up a little. Perhaps even have a community competition where the winner(s) can be invited in to be immortalised as a station voice...

(I'm sure I heard Siri... is there a wiki with a list of the voice actors used per chance? I'm nosey like that)

i thought the male federal one was a nasa controller on vacation who just cannot leave work alone. the male imperial one i hear a lot, sounds like a bbc announcer from 1953. alliance guy sounds like george takei (sulu) or someone from japan. i like the nigerian guy, but i would love more voices. how about a jamaican? chilled and relaxed, urging you to forget about the speed and enjoy the ride with the docking computer mon!

i would like cortana - the one from halo games not the one from windows 10 in uk who is just called the same name - but ms would want to charge enormous licensing fee to frontier and milk them, and it worries me that it might make ms look at frontier and think hmmm and try to buy them out and merge with 343 industries. especially now they have killed the halo games by rewriting the history.

How about Larry the Cable Guy in at least one station?

"Woah! Watch it there buddy, get 'er done.. you wanna land? I thank I got a pad open, lemme check... at's right... come on in.. pad 9... stick that ship in here like a... I shouldn't say that, I apologize lord, for talking about the ship like that and be with the starving Thargoids over where ever they are"

"hey slow that thang down man before you kill somebody... good lord dang crazy people try'na run all over the dang place"

Who's the classy-sounding one that does some of the Empire stations? I often hang out at the stations there, hoping to catch her when her shift finishes...

That would be cool!

They should stick a GlaDOS in there somewhere.

what about an uptight mexican one? who keeps bursting out with stereotypical phrases - 'oh you people think im gonna say andaley andelay! arriba! you think im speedy gonzales?'

irish scottish. in fact the more nationalities the better. although they would be called regional accents not national given that earth is all one place and capital of the federation lol.

I still want Claudia Christian (Ivanova from B5) as a station voice

"Whisky India Lima .. Land that ship PDQ or I'll come down there and rip out your lungs"

Bill

My favourite is the female Starcon (Alliance) controller, who is immortalised in my usually dead serious logs as "Sexy Flight Controller". She's at Tshang City in Furuhjelm III-674 and Key Dock in LP377-78 to name but two. When we get space legs, I'll ask her on a date! :D

I also miss Angry Jock (formerly at Obsidian Orbital) who seems to have disappeared, but he was so aggressive towards incoming pilots they obviousy sacked him. "Next time, learn to fly your ship" was one of his funnier comments.

One of them, Mr. Gravely I suspect, sounds just like one of my good friends.

Another one in Fed space has to be Worf aka Michael Dorn from ST-TNG.

They threw him out an airlock. Afterwards there was much rejoicing.

100% agree. Not entirely sure why, but she has got a slightly seductive voice.

Although I'm stunned at how few people are claiming that the odds of anyone continuing to have their Earth accent 1000 years into the future is breaking their immersion. Chaucer is hardly English and that was relatively recent. I severely doubt Oop North t'lass still sounds like that in 3303.
