Why gimballs? I thought SDC proudly taunted about being FA-off gods with fixed weapons? I mean I certainly can't do better, I don't play Elite or PvP enough to even remotely come close to any decent level of PvP skill, but I always thought that 13th Legion were the "gimball scrubs" while SDC were big "package" DPS pilots who only used fixed weapons with perma FA-off.

What is amusing to watch here is not the video, but some people's egos.

I'm amazed anyone would watch stuff from known cheats, personally I'll pass.
Whats funny is neither of these could kill or even get close to killing someone in a less FOTM build such as the new DBS that a certain Ottoparts and many others are running

An FDL with this frag build is very easily counterable, i mean even a resistance python could sit still and just soak all the damage. Might even win with full turrets lol
Still enjoyed watching it even though it looks like a battle from a while ago (ship build wise).

I didn't see anything in this fight which was actually interesting.
No wait this WAS something very out of the ordinary! This may be the first time Cmdr Harry Potter was actually fighting a fair fight and not doing his normal cowardly ganking!
Maybe Cmdr Harry potter arranged this for some needed positive PR? If not then congrats to both of them.

Nah. If you're looking for FA Off only pilots, look into Newton's Gambit. Ganking is the glue that holds SDC together, not skill level. You can't compare the actual PvP teams to the rank and file.

I don't agree. There is no stalemate implied by a turning fight.
If I'm fighting a pilot/ship with less ability to keep me in their cone of fire, I will deliberately attempt to force a turning competition. As time on target stacks up in my favor, I win, unless I screw up somewhere else.
In the opposite scenario, where I am at the disadvantage in maneuverability, I try to break the circle and open up distance as often as possible, or use other tools/attributes to my advantage.

Same can be said about any overly specialized setup and any faster ship struggles to be shot down by any slower ship.

Last I checked we where the winners for the pvp league two seasons in a row, not sure about you but I call that skill.
I often wonder how many people that like to "weigh in" on pvp threads have ever even had a single fight. Seems like it's more like "let's crash the thread" with backseat pilot input just because it's a pvp thread or because ya don't like who posted it.
I'm always looking to learn something in vids like these. Poo poo if ya want, but I didn't see a lot of the names here in the pvp champ bouts.
If I had some extra salt, I'd hand it over, Harry. I seem to be all out as usual hehe. Plenty in here though so enjoy

That's like saying someone can't be a great fighter if they aren't willing to make it an occupation.
In this game there are plenty of skilled CMDRs that avoid organized PvP.

Since you're new - Mostly Harmless - you might don't know that a great shame befell certain forum members and groups a few weeks ago. They are silent and absent, and the rumor has it they will join the forum under a brand new identities.
