Maybe figure out the nearest place you could possibly land sell you data. It might not be the full 2000+ LY you quoted. You should make it if you stop reading threads while jumping. I won't tell you to stop drinking though, that would be terribly hypocritical of me.

Well, the potential for lethal CNS depression would be my main concern. You'd have to be careful with that mixture, and by his own admission the OP is not a careful guy.

Try to survive to 2.4 ahve hope repair limpets (and the Cmdr carrying them) can patch you up

Don't sweat it ... and don't be afraid to turn back. My first attempt at a deep space expedition ended under similar circumstances. I discovered that my lack of attention coming out of frame shift and into the next system often resulted in major damage to my hull and module integrity. I tucked my take tween my legs and returned home for repairs.

My second attempt was much more successful and on my third attempt I made it to Sagittarius A* and beyond. Incurring a few percent hull or module damage when you're in the Bubble is no big deal ... you just repair it at the next station. When you're new to exploration it doesn't dawn on you how that damage adds up over time until you start to notice your systems malfunctioning.

Should be able to bring a failed module back to 1% at the cost of other module health and get you home in a worst-case situation.
