Greetings, long time player first time poster so please accept my apologies for anything incorrect.
I have two Rift CV1 questions.
On Friday just passed my Rift CV1 arrived. With much glee I ran the setup and after getting past the switch from screen to VR I was awed by the scale and everything. Very happy. However I noticed two things immediately.
1. The in-game graphics options/menu is no longer as extensive as it once was and is now limited to selecting Low to Ultra and Vr low to VRUltra, there are no longer any in game super-sampling options etc etc. Is this correct? (does the oculus debug tool still work?)
The reason I ask is because whilst in the game I changed in between settings Low - then back to VRUltra - and very little seems to happen with the exception of a very strange perspective related occurrence (mostly in stations) that no amount of googling has so far helped uncover an answer.
2. When I first fired up elite all the perspectives and their associated movements where perfect, for example if in a station and in the cockpit if I moved my head the cockpit remained perfectly static and the view into the station was only related to the position of my head, so in essence it was static and barely moved if at all. However since bouncing between settings the the cockpit is still perfect but the background perspective in the station seems noticeably different in that background station elements move a lot more now. For example if I am in a station, and looking directly ahead out my ships window and move my head from left to right the station elements closest to me seem to disproportionately move or warp from left to right or vice versa when I move my head. It seems that the background movement is grossly overcompensated where it was not like this before.
Have I missed something? has anyone else experienced this? Are there terms for this? Is it normal or did I break something? (many more than two questions I know - apologies).
System is a new 1080gti, i7, 32RAM etc.
