Great work by CIG doing something that has never been done before in gaming. Time to buy a couple 600i's

I will wait until its actually released, playable and being able to be called a game. I will not miss anything until then i have my standard package no need to throw more money at them for being deceiving ,in my opinion.

WHO IS HYPED I AM SO HYPED RITE NOW 3.0 BOOOYYYEEEEE3333!!! Only 20 minutes to the BDSSE!!11111

So in response to this.

If I would have allowed myself to get hyped I would ve been absolutely CRUSHED with disappointment. As it stands I m mildly surprised in a good way but only because you couldnt really go lower then my expectations went. And what was shown is as far away from the BDSSE as the sun is from earth in miles. They showed stuff never seen before in Star Citizen but obviously, all of it was done in other games already. The actors were really good even tho they sometimes sounded too forced and judging from the crowd noise level people were as bored as I was watching the mission play out.

Maybe in 2018 they will manage to deliver on the hype but I dont think so. No actual thing can compete with a dream. This demonstration fails as well.

I was hoping to see a slide that showed what actually would be in the 3.0 they deliver to the public. I remember a slide that showed some features of the client, like delta patching etc. but not the game, not that I remember at least.

Just stated watching the livestream on youtube.... wow... its mainly black stage with some eyecandy demo movies selling concept jpegs.. yeah move along, nothing to see here.

oh my dear Thargon - it's worth watching in it's entirety!

Your lulzbucket will love you for it!

what a waste of time...nothing to make me believe SC is on tracks...they seem to have fly off into the abyss of wrong prioritys....

For heavens sake why? You can purchase the ships with ingame REC in 3.0 and once the game goes live. Whats the motivation to drop yet MORE hundreds of real life dollars on this?

But hey, to all the whales and gullies...please keep giving because Star Citizen keeps delivering (comedy gold). It would be a shame if this running gag would die tommorow forcing me to look for another source to get my laughs. As it stands I m very glad I dont have to pay for this and there are so many people who can be impressed easily and are ready to jump out of their undies for it :)

Well, I enjoyed the stream.

I wouldn't put it up on the comedy scale to rival Blackadder though...

It could be on a par with "The Office" possibly, (The american version).

Mixed feelings about this. There were some good things there from a technical standpoint, some bugs obviously but still.

But where was the actual game? We didn't see a single mission go from start to completion. There was no payoff. No paycheck. No return to the mission console to look for the next mission. That was the most disappointing thing for me.

I just realized something, i was watching for 3 hours a movie of people getting a red box....

This is not just a movie. This is a movie stuffed with ultra immersion and totally-not-scripted events that goes to 11. It's not just fidelity, this is Genuine Roberts fidelity :D

Who cares? He said in the beginning that there are exactly two mission givers in 3.0, so...
