Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Apologies if this has also been asked already but I failed to find reference to it. I am again entering a lot of data manually as I have previously scanned my area extensivly but I have come across another issues whilst cataloging that I feel could make things a bit easier and thats a reorder function. As you can see from the screenshot on thew legend on the left the manually imputed data is plainly in wrong numerical order even tho I delibrately imput the data numerically from main star to last star yet on adding the images the order has changed and not as intended. Is there an easier way to get things in order when manually inputing data?

Gratful for any advice on a work around, other than redoing it all again that is ;)

Hmmm....
It is in order. It's ordered by ASCII, there is 1 before 10 and 19 before 2 (1 is here significant). Maybe another sorting criteria would be better, distance for example?

Bye, Christian

Ironically it is set by distance ;) to emphasise the issue, I know when information is entered from a fresh system (new system) the order is reordered automatically by the prog, but in manual input you have to make sure you do it in sequence but if you are forced out of editing and restart the order is wrongly presented into the numerical sequence that is shown. Doesn't look good when presenting to others.

The next update will show the proper order of names, sorted by distance and you will be able to add negative values too.
Thanks for reporting.

Hi Eventure,
I have been having an issue upgrading from version 1.5.7.4 to 1.5.9.6. I deleted the old version and ran the full installer then applied the upgrade to 1.5.9.6, I then transferred from all files from the old directory, verified and had to run a repair because of some error in the Credit History database. Anyway TCE launches but I get the following error the moment I enter the hanger.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

Many thanks Eventure, loving the features, if I may ask one more small confirmation from you, there's reference under Volcanism to Iron Magma is that the same as Metallic Magma? (see image)

I agree, the list at the offical journal manual didn't show any iron magma, only metallic, so I think, it's the same.

In an earlier thread I read:
What you are looking for is to have online data available at TCE. You can achieve this by using the build-in 3rd party tool called TCE-Relay (at the launcher).
It can create a starter database of markets around your current position for you, including markets and their commodity data, to start with. This you have to do only once.
It provides also a price update function, to update your market prices from registered stations in TCE. You only have to update your prices once a day.

When I travel to a new area (say for a Community Goal) and want to stay to trade for a while, does this mean that I can:
1) save a copy of my current database;
2) create a starter database with a 300ly area;
3) update these prices using TCE-Relay;
4) transfer my saved database back into TCE (the same way as when there is a new full version of TCE) to enable me to find trade routes near my current location?

You can't combine both databases actually, only exchange them.

Update [1.5.9.7] released:

Changelog:
- Added the new event "NavBeaconScan" introduced into ED 2.4 beta.
- Added an additional check for expired missions when docked.
- Added a small rework on how the missions are displayed at the treeview of the Missions tab.
- Fixed an issue with coloring the security level properly.
- Fixed an issue with star systems, which are unknown to TCE, not replacing empty slots at the database.
- Fixed an issue with negative values at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an issue with the sort order at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed a rare issue with the transfer, verify and repair process of databases at the launcher.
- Fixed a rare issue with the creation of the ErrorReportFiles.7z, not containing all required files.
- Fixed a detection issue when buying a new ship, cause of undocumented and incomplete ship type names, produced by the journal output.
- Fixed an error at the Missions tab of the Personal panel.

Note:
Copy all files from the update into your TCE installation folder to update your version.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french to help in translating the
latest interface phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

Eventure,
I was looking around the application, and I found this option enabled, 'Export Visited Star Systems to Elite Dangerous on Exit'. what is the reason for doing this on exit, I'd like to understand please.
I looked at the Wiki and the manual and there's no specific reason listed, would you elaborate please.

Thanks for that, now with that in mind, what if it fails to import one, would you want to know about it?

There could be fails in the case, that Frontier changed the name of some star systems. The list of systems coming from your logbook, where all star systems are listed, that you have visited.
Finding the particular system, which fails to import, would be difficult, because AFAIK the name is not presented in ED. It reports only a fail.

Bye, Christian

I should have clicked through on the name in EDSM rather than seeing in the basic search that these two systems didn't exist, thanks

Hi Eventure

Now using 1.5.9.7 and I've noticed a few glitches.

- For some reason the Vipr Mk III is not recorded when using EDMC to capture ship data (this was aso present in 1.5.9.4 which I upgraded from).

- When saving a new station (or modifying an existing one) the only station service which appears to be saved is refuelling. Although selected any other services are not saved. When modifying an earlier station this glitch also wiped any ships saved in the shipyard.

The API server is down currently, so there is no ship data available. The issue with the station services is found, though I had changed the routine already to adapt it to the new redesign, but I missed it obviously.
Sorry for that, a fix will be released very soon.

Update [1.5.9.8] released:

Changelog:
- Fixed an issue with some more events covering the ship type detection.
- Fixed an issue with station services not properly stored.
