Has anybody destroyed a Thargoid ship yet?

So 1-0 to the mistress of minions then. :p

Good fight tho! The Thargoid ship doesn't show up on your scanner, did you get the impression it was taking any damage at all?

P.S. at work so had to skim the video while looking over my shoulder, apologies if I missed anything.

Wouldn't call it 1-0 given the ship does not take any damage... to me I found it pointless to release this with no actual way to fight it, I would of prefered it took damage but dished out such crazy amount of damage that it took "godlike" skill to beat, instead we got a lazy programmers version of that(sorry to be blunt, that's what it is though).

It was fun though, cool to see where this is heading.

Impressive.

So, the Tharglets are harmless if you can avoid them. If you can't, they're deadly. And the mother ship seems to have some sort of pulse laser (any special effects?) in addition to the Tharglets, but apparently can't use its EMP in a fight.

Any known benefits of ECM or PD yet?

The Thargons(Fighters) can be killed with plasma though the big ship can't as it will not take any damage, I took 12 people into a single instance and it still stays at 99% hull... EMP I found has no effect, PD does not fire.

Well, I guess the way to fight it is coming on Thursday (after the CGs complete). I'm not entirely sure why they timed those CGs to overlap the 2.4 release rather then finishing on the Thursday before the release (so they could get the necessary Aegis modules into place) ... maybe they wanted to script it so a few players have encounters like yours and feel powerless and then ... hey presto ... Aegis, Palin and Liz to the rescue of humanity!

We arnt powerless though... we can just wake out at any point, the damage is really low.

ECM DOES WOKR.... Otherwise from that 100% agreed

TO ECM work you need to wait until thargons become missiles they you fire it and they explode.

There's no challenge, not a real one OFC , and if you know how to evade you can escape almost everything.
