What teensy tiny things would you like to see changed in ED?

I wish it were possible to supercruise between systems too. Just because it makes no sense that you can't. For permit systems, could just force the ship out of supercruise at the edge of the system (if player doesn't have the permit).

FWIW I think it would be great if it were possible to circumvent a permit by supercruising all the way. Every time you want to visit that system.

Though they do provide some justification for destroying those passenger ships. "Sorry officer, but they just wouldn't shut up...". :D

Now you mention it, I do too. You'd also have to avoid being scanned otherwise they'll realise you're an illegal.
 
Just thought of something else.
I really like the size of the HUD when you "focus" (hold the [SHIFT] key) and I'd like this to be a toggle.
 
For me my biggest (Latest) teeny weeny annoyance is the damn Passenger captains broadcasting on LOCAL that amongst other silly things, that the Gym has broken....... Why the flip do i need to know this or indeed everyone else in the system?

The wedding barge transmissions was just about believable, but these passengers announcements is a bit like me hearing that a cruise ship, sailing in the ocean below, gym is out of action as i am flying 35k feet above it !! Grrrrrrrrr
 
Modify the symbol shapes on the scanner so that you are no longer dependant on colour to identify friend or foe.

So much this!

I don't need to know if your gym is working, or if there are cocktails on the view deck or whatever.
I want to hear the captain complaining to ATC that he needs a quick departure time so his passengers can watch the sun go behind the planet before they leave the system.
Or the captain asking for a delayed departure time as some passengers haven't arrived yet.
Or requesting a quick berth as some passengers are sick
Or informing ATC that they need security to come to the docking bay on arrival for unbroadcastable reasons

There could be so many different options if FD just understood the difference between internal intercom and actual radio transmissions!

Also, another small thing: Could we have the 'time to target' on the left hand panel just below the distance to target? Very useful if you are not heading directly towards the target (harrumph... loop of shame... harrumph) The space is already there.

I want more criminal exciting Sothis Poop runs, Quince Sca(m)n missions and Diah/Reah runs. With police and salty whiners chasing me and fellow fellons trying to keep the exploits open for business as usual!

AAAAaaawww the game play we are missing out on every time they shut these fantastic exciting and realistic opportunities for us criminals..... why.... WHYYYYYY!?
 
Okay, I know that this is a really unimportant minor thing, but it might be nice to add it. And the thread did say, "What teensy tiny things....".

The upper left Comm box is always showing the dialogue for the cruise liners and for that wedding (and the lady whose wondering if she should even get married....that's what happens when they have a bachelorette party). Although it may be minor, and even on the verge of being petty, but I would like to see some other dialogues going on. The only time the dialogue changes is if a pirate tries in interdict you (or another player says hello).

One way the FDevs could do regarding the Comm box is perhaps actually have someone asking for help (or calling out for help) in the Comm box. When you see that call for help, you would then know that nearby Unidentified Signal Sources (doesn't have to be the very next one) has an active escape pod floating about (if you wanted to bother picking it up for some cash). You could even put a time limit on it ("Help me, someone. I only have 5 minutes of air left").

Maybe this is already implemented in ED, and I just haven't seen it. Nonetheless, it does offer the Comm box the chance to be part of the overall experience without always relying on the "wedding party" chatter or "cruise liner" chatter. Plus, it helps with the immersion (or at least I think so).

I would like to see the planet "Stapled Peacock Flesh" - as a shining example of its kind - renamed, with an appropriate pledge refund to whoever paid his money to name it in the first place.

Because paying a few dozen bucks to visually troll hundreds of other players for the lifetime of the game should not be allowed.

also, #lolimmersion, #lollore, etc, etc.

I would live there; purely because that name is awesome. LOL

I'd like to see system state somewhere on my HUD while I'm in that system. It tells me before I jump, but that fades and if I'm doing a chain of jumps then get interdicted I often don't know what state it is (HiSec, MedSec, LoSec, Anarchy).

Zoidberg mentioned another one of my suggs. Combat drop from a hovering ship at low altitude in an SRV. Retrieval in mountainous terrain from hovering ship would be fantastic as well.

Auto-ship landing to choose closest possible location to you rather then 1.2 KM away on flat terrain.

Silent running kills all exterior lights. Ability to auto-turn off selected modules when silent running engaged.

Onscreen keyboard for VR users in GalMap / Chat.

Have ring around sensor display turn different color when another CMDR is in your instance.

Know who is scanning you and the type of scan being conducted.
